Did you lose your car?
no just a ticket
Here try this: http://bit.ly/PR1hTj
The first link looks like it'll help.
yeah that thing called google didn't really help, and I've called a couple of lawyers in the area but to no avail...
But thanks for coming out and spending the time trying to be a troll

Only sort of trolling - the one guy listed in the yellow pages link looked like a good lead.
...and now I feel bad, so here's some more help. The BC Bar Association operates a lawyer referral service. They should be able to provide names of lawyers who will do that kind of law for you. Since you are out of province, you can send them an email:
linkIf you know you have a legal problem and need to hire a lawyer, the Lawyer Referral Service can help you find a lawyer at their regular rate. Out-of-province and country requests can email [email protected].

You aren't actually looking for a lawyer for this sort of thing, so the bar association isn't going to be useful. Lawyers charge far more than you'd pay to deal with a small speeding ticket.
i was actually worried about how this would affect my insurance policy but after talking to ICBC it will not affect my Alberta drivers abstract so I'm good there. another reason is because i wouldn't be able to to go out there and defend myself so having someone stand in for me would be great because i have a "understandable" defence and hopefully the court would be able to be lenient on the fine.
