Nice looking setup, how do you like to Ferd compared to the chevy? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Ecoboost is an amazing towing engine. Love the entire f150 lyfe for daily driving. If I towed more, if have a super duty though. No substitute for a heavier tow vehicle. I've run every option, and I know the pros and cons, and I'm comfortable with my current setup, but like everything it's a compromise.

So we are looking at taking a weekend or weekday to spend a few days camping. I know a few people have talked about rvezy and renting and curious if anyone has actually used it and what their experience was?
My main concern is most want at least a $1,000 deposit.
I’ve had good success with Outdoorsy. Operated just like Turo, and there wasn’t a big deposit if I rmembwrThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Did you get the max towing package? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I finally dewinterized yesterday, reset bearings and greased … now just have to clean the trailer up and get ready to camp …
How often are you doing this? Are you jacking up the trailer and checking each wheel for lateral play to know when this needs to be done? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I have the package they call "max tow", heaviest rating you can get with 145"wb. There's a heavier setup with HD Payload available in 157" wb.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I've used rveasy before and it was a mostly painless experience. When going through the populated questions, I answered honestly about not being an experienced camper ( or however it's worded) so I had to actually have an at length conversation with the person that owned the trailer because they thought I wasn't able to tow or use a trailer etc. I had to explain that while I know how, I just choose not to and it's something my wife wanted to do that weekend haha. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Nice. It's supposed to help quite a bit with the suspension. Who knows though. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I imagine the SD diesel would make things a lot easier.
We pulled our in-laws 32ft 5th wheel with a 350 diesel...couldn't even feel that thing behind youThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I have so many thoughts, feelings, opinions and experiences in terms of towing, that I can go on for hours about it. Long story short, Heavier truck makes towing less work, and more power is always good, but there are ways around anything.

I've noticed some people have the ball mount on their hitch slightly slanted away from the truck towards their trailer when using a weight distribution setup. What exactly is the point of doing that?
I checked my shank and ball mount out and the mount is slotted so I have the ability to tilt the ball towards the trailer. Just wondering what its helping to do.
Looking around
Wondering what became
Of what I once knew
Tilting it moves more weight to your truck. I've never played with adjusting the angle, so I don't know how much it actually does. Mine was already angled when I bought it.

Potentially picking ourselves up a wee project trailer
Leaky roof and the seller noticed this year that the floor has started to go a bit soft right where the leak is, but it hasn't spread too far yet
Price is right, half-ton towable and with an engineer and a carpenter in the family, a re-seal on the roof and a bit of floor replacement will be do-able right?
@ExtraSlow old buddy old pal, any good resources you've found over the years of trailering? I'm declaring you the beyond trailer consultant
Post pics of the progress! I love seeing these projects. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
