Thats real world fuel economy for diesels that haul trailers that actually need a diesel to pull. Guys getting 14l/100km are the guys pulling a 20ft hybrid's and probably sit down to pee. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The gearing also matters a lot. My dually had the 4:10 gears in it with the HO engine. I would get 17l/100km empty or pulling 15klbs. Conversely the 3:42 gears will get considerably better mileage on the highway (sub 10l/100km) but get atrocious towing mileage. You'll also find people using the dash for the numbers when it can be off by as much as 15%. Hand calculated will be more. Always.
