I've heard storing a trailer on gravel decreases the chance of mice. truth? My trailer had a bunch of Irish spring soap in it as well to go with the bounce sheets.

I have heard that same with Irish spring soap... I have had mice in my trailer twice and I have spray foamed the crap out of the bottom of my trailer, but I think they got in by climbing up the power cord so watch that one...This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
yep thats a bad one, even if you have the door closed and the little door with the cord its not always enough, if you're gonna leave it like that for an extended period i would duct tape the cord, me personally i cut the cord off and put a receptacle in there so its entirely sealed and my cord is detachable... (honestly i was sick of it tangling inside the compartment)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Yeah, I'm hoping to get one more weekend out. It was supposed to be this weekend, but fuuuuucccckkkk that shit. Lows of -5 and snow in K-country. 2 weeks from now is looking good so far though.
I am hoping to get out for Thanksgiving. I have not winterized. Haven't winterized my house drip irrigation system either.

1/4 cup of dish soap and 1/4 cup of bleach in 5 gallons of water. I sprayed it on with my pressure washer on low. Roll up the awning and leave it for 30 minutes.. unroll it and rinse it off. Same effect.
I am in jasper right now with the trailer... not that bad... no snow stuck to the roads, little on the grass which is mostly gone now. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
A number of years ago I was at Dutch creek for the sept long and got a foot of snow, it was so bad I could not close the slide there was so much snow on it
Well, counted it up, Slept in my trailer 28 days so far this season, that's probably my personal best, even with my big 10 day trip getting cancelled due to BC forest fires. Lent it out for another 4 nights as well. I'm hoping to get 2-3 more days over thanksgiving, but need decent weather to make that worthwhile.

18 for me. Was trying to make it 21, but I really don't see another weekend happening with all the shit I have to do around the house before winter really hits.
17 for me. 7 trips. Pretty happy with it being new to it
i couldnt even count, i think i missed about 4 weekends all summer starting the second week in May and had a 2 weeks straight in July, wont get out next weekend, maybe the weekend after, and then maybe for thanksgiving.

We got 15 days in the trailer this season over 3 trips. We're done for the season - i'm going to clean out my garage a bit (put in some more shelving) before I put my tent trailer in our garage for the winter.
Giving some consideration to selling my tent trailer and buying a hybrid trailer. We arrived at a couple campsites this year in near darkness and setting up a tent trailer in the dark is only slightly better than setting up a cabin tent in the dark. Not sure yet how I feel about having to pay for storage, and not being able to keep my trailer on my driveway in the summer w/o neighbours complaining about it (the tent trailer is relatively small and a low profile).
My ex and I share our trailer out at Wilderness Village so my daughters get tons of time out there. I think this year it was somewhere between 40-50 nights.
I'd love to upgrade to something a bit bigger, we have a 29ft w/ a slide and a bunk but a 5th wheel would be so much nicer.
Have i got a trailer for you then.....probably selling in the spring. 2012 Sandpiper 365SAQ 5'ver. 4 slides. Hand washed after each use, stored under a custom fitted cover in the winter. It would appear the cabin has taken the wind out of our camping sails.....PM me if you're interested. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
