Question, my old trailer was on a separate pink card and also through home insurance for contents.. TD moved all the insurance of the camper to being under the same pink card as my truck and part of my overall monthly payment… is this normal? I feel like it’s not what I remember..

Not required to have the trailer vin on the pink card since you don't have to provide proof of insurance in a traffic stop. Even companies that insure trailers on a vehicle policy don't always show the vin on the pink card. Or is that not what you are asking?

Considering trailer insurance is entirely optional it really is just between you and your insurance company?

Don't recall ever having a trailer vin on a pink card.

Mine is listed in endorsement paperwork. Not on the insurance card itself.

This is one of my favorite camping accessories: https://www.amazon.ca/DEWALT-DCC020I...92815101&psc=1

From inflating trailer tires, kids bike tires, soccer balls etc. Plus good for getting air to get your charcoal chimney or fire going. Pair it with the dewalt bluetooth radio for tunes at the campsite.

Pretty nice weekend at Kinbrook Island. Sat and yesterday were a bit smoky, sunday was smoking hot and clear. Nice to be able to get a fire in

Well, the camping this weekend was a shakedown trip for the new trailer. Of all the things that could be wrong with a 16 year old trailer, most of them aren't.

    - keep getting "trailer disconnected" message. Will need to figure that out because it's no fun when I have no brakes.
    - trailer taillights, something is up, can't see brake or signal light when running lights are on. It's those 3157 2-filament bulbs, and the second filament is illuminating, but super indistinct. Never noticed that on previous trailers.
    - new mouse droppings since we picked this up mid April. Have deployed a fuck load of traps, will see what's up.

Did some upgrades too. Microair easystart for the AC so I can run it with my EU2200i.
And some torklift goodies that I will be revealing soon.

Overall, trailer is good. Absolute ton of storage.

check your ground for the trailer lights. Often a problem for vague illumination. I had similar for an old boat trailer

The first two are definitely related and probably a bad ground or connection of some type. Real bitch to find but easy to fix.

Yeah, I'll start by redoing some grounds. I have a plan to track that down.

Did you so this yourself? If so where did you purchase it?

Yeah did it myself. Had one on a previous trailer and was happy with it. Bought both from Sylvan Lake RV. Really easy to deal with, cheap and fast shipping if you can't drive up there3 yourself. You'll want to have 30A power to do the learning process ideally. Messed that up on the first trailer, tried to learn with 15A power an 100 feet of skinny extension cord. Didn't work worth a shit and it was a big hassle to take the thing apart, reset it, and then get the learning done.

This time I was smarter, did the install and the learning at a campsite with 30A power connection.

Microair has pretty clear installation instruction, or the folks at Sylvan Lake RV will install for you as well if you want.

A good tech or someone with more confidence could do the install in about 4 minutes. It's 4 wires. Takes me 45 because I need to find the correct wire, then doubt myself, and check EVERY OTHER WIRE, while reading and re-reading the instructions to be certain I'm not wrecking anything. I did pull the wrong wire off, but it was kind of obvious right away, so I popped that back on and move forward.

My username is no joke. However, I often get things done eventually.

Hey if anyone wants a set of Torklift Stableload 7310's for $360 PM me today. I ended up with two complete packages, and it's a funny story. Brand new, unused in box, otherwise I'll deal with the return policy from Partsengine.

Wouldn't you ideally want to learn with the generator power you would be using?

I think the learning process is more about it understanding the starting current draw / load curve for your specific A/C unit under regular power, so it can plan appropriately how much "assistance" it needs to apply to overcome your generator's capacity.

This is a very hand-wavey explanation from an electrical engineer turned salesguy who has never owned one of these before, though.
