I don't care about the exterior fridge. Is there anything that can run the AC and interior fridge at the same time? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Leave interior fridge on propane. Turn off 12v converter. Turn off eco mode. Use a shorter extension cord. Then test. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Fridge is electric only. So I don't have that option. I am aware I would need a larger generator. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I have no idea then. You need to add up the loads and get total amperage required. Sounds like a lot.
Plus, cheap generators usually can't run anywhere near full load, and don't handle load spikes well at all.
You may need a pair of generators or one very large one.

Did you order that 3000w one? There's something wrong if it can't power everything.

You just need to bring along one of these with your second tow vehicle
Works for Tesla’s…
Who cares what the guys in the site 6 feet away from you think. They clearly don’t get what camping is really about.

I was thinking about the pair setup. I saw a couple guys with the setup on the weekend but never got the chance to chat with them about it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Have you even started the diagnosis by seeing if that generator will run the AC with all the other loads turned off? 3200w shoukd start and run any single AC unit. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
You don't have dual AC do you?

No dual AC (It's a small trailer: https://forestriverinc.com/rvs/trave...-pup/16FQ/1332). I did some diagnosis last night. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Attempt 1: Unplugged mini fridge and turned off breaker to 12v interior fridge. Started generator and attempted putting AC unit to low and it overloaded under a minute.
Attempt 2: This time I put the AC unit on low fan instead of low cool for 5 minutes. Then switched to low cool and took about 20 minutes until it overloaded.
Attempt 3: Turned off the 12v converter breaker as well. Overloaded in about 15 minutes.
Yeah, there's something wrong with your AC or your generator. You mentioned it wouldn't start on propane, did you figure that out? I'd be returning it myself.
Edit, unless youre using some ridiculously thin extension cord between the trailer and genny?

Got the propane start figured out. That was an oversight on my part (didn't realize the propane regulator had a power plug as well ). All this testing has been done with gas instead of propane. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I'm using the cord that came with the trailer (and that I've used at plug in sites) as the generator does have the 30 amp plug.
I'll see if I can borrow a generator in the same power range to test as well. Also I was reading about a high altitude kit for these generators but at this point I think I'll just return this.
Is it legal to tow a trailer and have multiple bikes mounted to a hitch on the front of your car/truck.
Yesterday I saw a Dodge Durango towing an airstream and it had a hitch on the front of the durango with 4 bikes on it partially obstructing the view of the drivers window.
I would of thought the Airstream would of had a hitch mounted either at the front of the airstream or rear of the airstream with the bikes instead.
As an aside from this the other two trailer towing fails I saw in the last week was:
A trailer being towed out by Cochrane with the poo hose hanging from the trailer bumper and it was snaking all over the road behind the trailer (no-one had thought to overtake the truck and tell him this).
The other thing I saw on the weekend out by three hills was a guy who had gone down a single lane TWP who was trying to turn around on this road and he had backed his trailer up over a ditch and the trailer was resting on the grass on one side of the ditch, the wheels of the trailer were suspended above the ditch and then hitch mount was resting on the opposite side of the ditch.
