Ive always blown out then put in antifreeze. We also blew a tap a few years back based on just blowing out. For the price and time it takes to push antifreeze through the system its just not worth not doing.
you must have been using too much pressure, you should only need 30psi... its also a good idea to pull off the screens before doing it so any crud also gets ejected

P traps yes. Just not through the lines.

My unit is small though. My compressor has more than enough power to completely blow out the puny lines I have.
you should only be feeding like 30psi to the lines anyway, any compressor can do that.

I find it's more about air volume than pressure. Yes you should use low pressures. Small compressors can't push enough volume and the tank empties really fast. A large tank or higher capacity compressor will help.

true, but its totally possible even with a small compressor, just gotta wait for it to charge up between taps

True story. I did it with a crappy 2 gallon compressor. Added a 5 gallon carry tank in series and found that helped a lot. Have a better compressor now, but still use the carry tank as extra storage when blowing out the trailer or the garden irrigation system.

Or standard from certain manufacturers, like grand design.

So the sealant on my roof is starting to crack and apparently I should use dicor sealant to repair. I was reading that it's not compatible with tpo roofs after 2012. My trailer is an 06. So it should be good to use? How many tubes of the stuff do I need? Probably have 20 or 30 linear feet to redo.

Sounds like minimal prep and the new coat can go right on the old?

You can put it over the old, OR scrape the old off. Lots of guys seem to like using the eternabond tape, which is apparently magical stuff. I have no experience with it.

Here's a stupid easy question. On my last two trailers, I always just used the stupid short cheap sewer hose, and I got one free with the new trailer too. I made sure to drive really close to the hole, and no issues. Now, at my new storage place, the sewer hole is a l-i-t-t-l-e further away from the driving lane, and the stupid short hose is stretched. So I'm thinking a new hose, BUT, I also like to store my hose in the square bumper, and most of the nicer hoses have either big plastic elbows, or larger fittings, that I'm sure wouldn't fit in there. Is there a nicer/longer hose that will still fit inside the rear bumper without my needing to find additional storage for things that get shitty water on them?

How much ground clearance do you have? Ive got a pvc tube mounted to the bottom of our trailer for the hose. Buy whatever size fits whatever hose you want, and it leaves the rear bumper open for more storage.

Probably room for a big pvc tube. Wonder how large I would need for that elbow fitting?

If the tube needs to be too big for the elbow fitting, you could just have it sticking out the end, with a bungee holding it down. Or just add a bigger piece of pvc just for the end. Like so...

How do you guys make coffee in the mornings?

One buddy brings a Kurig machine, and fires his generator to brew coffee, this is not a great method IMHO. Last weekend we used a percolator on stove (one of those blue metal types), and it needed to be watched constantly so it didn't boil over.....you want coffee asap, so turn stove up to heat water faster, but you have to be ready to turn it down to rolling perc at first sign of boil, or it will boil over getting coffee grounds inside stove..... I'm thinking of going French press route, slight downside is most of these units are small volume....

Any coffee brewing tips/tricks out there?

Depends what you're looking for, from volume to ease of use.

I'm all about the aeropress, and bring a Hario hand grinder.. great coffee is worth a bit of effort when camping, so this is definitely the way to go in my mind. Plus it takes up almost zero space. Then again, i use the aeropress every morning as well, it just makes awesome coffee. 3 minutes and you have a solid cup of joe.

You can get a 1L insulated french press from MEC as well if you're wanting to make larger volumes:

We use a french press, but then we use one at home daily as well. We just brew twice for the mornings we need extra. I like the looks of that 1L one Brent.ff just posted though. Always scared shitless our glass one will break in the trailer.

I do the same hand-grind and pour-over process in the trailer that I do at home. Makes a very tasty cup, one cup at a time. Keep a bag of beans in the freezer. Most campgrounds say you shouldn't use generator until 10AM at the earliest, and I like my coffee before that.

Running a generator for a Keurig is straight up nuts.
