According to BC people, it's only Albertans that do that.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

4 days ago I found the carbon monoxide alarm beeping every 30 seconds in my trailer (currently on my driveway). I pressed the test button and it went green. Today I went outside just now and found the same thing. Do these devices only beep when they detect carbon monoxide or can they beep for other reasons. It was a slow red light and a beep every 30 seconds. 4 days ago I thought it was because the batteries were losing voltage from the carbon monoxide alarm draining them and I pluged the 30amp into the wall at home.

Annoying because this thing is built into the trailer. I didn’t even know they expired.

Pic? Usually they're all a standard size and are very easy to replace.

snap off cover, unscrew two mount screws, pull out, untwist wire nuts, reverse process with new one.

just got back from a trip to anglemont on the shuswap. Drove 95-100 on the highway and 80 in the passing zones. Averaged 19L/100km on the trip over the 1400 km trip so about an extra $110 in fuel compared to driving without it.

Yup those are very straightforward to replace.

This one is just LP but you get the idea.

Any of the RV parts stores should have them.

It literally says on there it will beep when it's expired and you won't be able to silence it

I can silence it though - it beeps and i press the silence button and it stops for 3 days and then beeps again. I am going to call the closest store today.

Although it does say replace after 60 months (5 years) the trailer is from 2012 so it should of been replaced in 2017.

I didn't read the fine print, I guess soon it will not mute. So I will grab one today to replace it.

When parking at the lot over winter do you put your jacks down or keep them up? Just read a thread on Facebook where it was mixed but lots of people were saying frost heaves stress your Jack’s and cause your windows to crack. Personally had my jacks down for 2 winters now and not experienced this or noticed frost heaves at our lot.

Not a big deal either way, especially on your short trailer.

In 20 yrs of trailer ownership I have never had the jack down over the winter … no issues

I would not bother with it.

Have never understood why you’d want to put a jack down at a storage place, except to make packing up and leaving take even longer. What am I missing?

I did thanksgiving last year at Mount Kidd. It started snowing on the second day, so we left, and then the truck died. Cost me about $1500 to get the truck and trailer towed.
