could be that the pressure relief valve is actually the faulty part so it never actually gets up to temperature.

Wouldn't you want to check the thermocouple first? Kinda like the flame sensor and temp sensor on your home hwh and furnace - it's 2 wires and a good multimeter to verify, and most likely candidate?

if it was the thermocouple it just wouldn't stay lit at all, the thermocouple doesn't sense temperature to regulate when to turn on or off the burner, it just checks for a pilot light so it doesnt spew raw fuel when there's no pilot

Thermocouple is a temp sensor - you'd have 2 one for flame sensor and one that's actually checking the water temp right?

So if it's failed open it'll run constantly trying to bring the temp up

most water heaters would have a thermocouple for detecting pilot and a thermostat (some adjustable, some not) for detecting and regulating the temperature

i have been looking at older A-classes too, just the thought of a tow/repair bill scares the shit out of me, could easily cost more than the rig is worth.

Ama +RV man ask the tow truck driver how to make this work. Then you go good Sam too and you're golden (if the possibility exists of needing an insanely long tow)

There's a few out there, wish I'd gotten more serious about it last winter... Theres a nice cheap vanguard 40' up in GP (2 full bedrooms). But I'd rather see what beyond knows that's not listed first

    I think it's like 275/yr for 300km of coverage.

It's not good Sam I'm realizing - gotta think there's one of the other clubs that goes through pdg or agero in Canada, CAA will refuse a retow from the American club if it goes through them.

After driving around NE Industrial areas long enough, it seems those are the RV of choice if you live off the bountiful supply of rabbit that nature provides...

Anyone know of a nice flat and level paved parking lot that isn't too busy in the North-central area of town? I need to adjust my hitch, and turns out most of the places I go to are on some kind of hill. Thoughts on somewhere that isn't busy that is close to flat? Bonus points if it's within ten minutes of the Rona on Edmonton Trail, because that's where I store my trailer, but I'd be willing to drive a bit.

I just did mine on the Balzac weigh station when they weren't open for trucks.

Do you get axle weights or just total weights there? Never used the highway scales. It does look quite flat there doesn't it? And if you could fuck around with a trailer anywhere, that's it.

deerfoot mall in the ne corner of the lot where they do autox and stuff... or on weekends go up the hill from deerfoot mall on 11th/aero road, there's a bunch of warehouses with huge lots that are largely unused on the weekend.
