With all four brake assemblies bring brand new (magnets included) what are the odds that any are bad? Certainly nothing to do with grease spillage as that was cleaned up before these we put on.

there are a ton of options depending on your power requirements, you could even convert an old PC power supply. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

NZ, are you talking about a converter for your trailer to charge the battery? If so, don't mess around with other types of equipment, get one designed for RV use. Honestly, just go to a reputable RV shop, like Hobo Camper or somewhere that ISN'T a dealership and have a chat with them. I feel like you are expending too much energy on something that is really simple.

i agree to grab a real inverter if that's his intent, but i dont advise using local shops, they are terribly overpriced, usually 50% or more, i got a new 55w inverter off amazon (my previous was 40w) for only $140USD, locally i am sure it'd be closer to $400 (even amazon.ca that same inverter is over $300 CAD)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. If you know what you want, absoloutley buy online, but I'm not getting that vibe from NZ.
I am about 50/50 online and local. I use Hobo and I've found they are more like 20% extra, and I often pick the guys brain while I'm ordering and he's pretty helpful with installation instructions. I think I get good value there.

I can buy the oem one off amazon for $200 I'm not sure where I would mount it though. I'm happy with my current situation where I don't have one it's the wife getting ideas from coworkers.
Better figure out how far the wife wants to go with upgrades, because it may be cheaper to buy a different trailer with the features she actually wants.

Hobo always gives me free butyl every time I go. Also they know everything, so agreed, it's worth the cost.
just wanted to give you guys a heads up about 4 wheel parts, cheapest local name brand tires i have found, i have access to a tire machine so i will mount them myself, but $260 for a full set of 4 13's is a pretty damn good deal. (also free pickup in store and if you do a little googling you can find a 5% off code)

Just spent 5 nights camping in Montana and Idaho with my boler 1300. It was pretty easy to setup and then get going in the morning. I'm unsure how much or if my vehicle is charging the batteries though because driving 5 hours each day didn't seem to charge it up much then again I didn't charge them after purchase as my battery meter said they were full. The battery charger each night seemed to give me about 60 amps of charge so my fridge never not worked
A bit late now but I picked one up in early August @ Costco for $99. Definitely better than nothing but it's still not the same as a real fire. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Anyone have any ideas on this?
We have this set up in our tent trailer. Really good for the kid.
Only problem is that it also seems to collapse on the kid while using the toilet/shower.
Anyone have a quick fix for something we could snap on the hinge while in use, but quickly take off to lower the cover when not being used?
Next step is to find a hydraulic type hinge with a lock maybe?
could just use a bungie cord or something from the towel rack to a command hook near the roof. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

had one of those. I just drilled a small hole though the bars where they overlapped and use a spare curtain hook as a safety latch. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Anyone have experience with hail insurance claims on a trailer with that tin siding? I'm extremely Familiar with vehicle claims. Wondering how trailers are handled. Cosmetic damage only.

No personal experience, but from attending many auctions and seeing hundreds of hail damaged trailers, I think they're often written off. In Alberta I'd be tempted to take the big payout, buy it back at the salvage cost, cancel the hail insurance, and keep running it. A cheap dented trailer is still a warm dry place to sleep and poop, and the dents make a guy less concerned about getting branch marks on it finding sketchier spots to drag it to. I wouldn't enjoy a hail dented daily driver, but it wouldn't bother me personally on a RV, especially if my insurance company had funded most of my trailer from a hail salvage claim. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. after a closer inspection of the damage and a discussion with my trusted insurance broker from Touchstone Insurance, I have decided to open a claim. Suspect this process will be slower than "normal" vehicle claims, but will update when I know something.
