Spokane - Seattle - Squamish - hope- Princeton - merrit - Kamloops home. Wish we had just done the states on way back as hope to lake Louise was pretty gross all day and I think woulda been faster even if longer

Anyone use their travel trailer for ski/snowboard trips? I've wanted to try it out last year but don't know what to expect. I'm assuming power hook up is a must have to supplement propane heat. Anyone have experience with this?

Yeah you want plug-in as you'll use a shit ton of power to run the furnace fan etc. 30A would be ideal so you can run electric hot water, supplemental electric heat etc.
Some people put 100W light bulbs in the storage compartments to keep the plumbing warm too.

I mean, there's a lot of ways to do it.

Yeah, 30A sounds like a must have. I don't like the idea of running water, but no hot shower almost seems like a deal breaker.

Also going to want to be running a lot of air through the camper to keep condensation down

Ideally you'd also want to use a trailer that's setup for winter camping (insulated floor/underbelly, heated tanks etc).

People who camp in real cold routinely have a lot of tricks, and there's more than one method of heating the tanks.
I've heard the simple thing to do if it's one or two nights is to just leave the water off, don't use the toilet or sink, and then it's easy peasy.

As kids we used to do cross country ski trips and sleep in a truck-camper, would be fun to get that going with the kids.

Anyone who wants t be buy most expensive hitch (and it's the best) you can save $500 for the next 5 days.
The fact that you can save $500 is a sign of how expensive this beast is . . .

Where should i go to look for someone to build me a solar rig? I am pre-wired on the camper, however dont have a controller. Seems like semi straight forward, except that i need angle-alum to attach the panel to my yakima track. Is there a specialist in town?

If you're already pre-wired, you're really not going to benefit much from paying a pro. I'd look at a kit like https://ca.renogy.com/renogy-200-wat...-solar-rv-kit/ and call it done.

There is a solid aluminum fabricator in the southeast off Dunbow Rd. Called Aero-something. Right across from Carmoney Golf Club. He welded the kicker mount bracket for a fishing boat i had

Would a the hood fan/light have an inline fuse somewhere? Fan and light don't work and I've checked the main fuse panel and everything is ok there. Opened up the hood fan and didn't see a fuse where the wiring is.

Yeah they might have one right inside that hood fan assembly. Take it down and then you can bench-test it with a known 12V power source and start diagnosing. Could also have a melted or broken wire in it.

Anybody know what are a good brand of spark plug wires for 2-stroke outboard motors like my Johnson 90hp v4? And where to source them? My google searches are resulting in all china made unbranded ones so I'm wondering if there are actually good performance ones and where to get.

Give Princess Auto batteries a try, IDK about costcos pricing but hasn't their battery warranty basically disappeared?

The PA Pro-Point stuff has been solid for me so far (12v deep cycle) and they have no qualms with warranty stuff when I've been back with it
