Lots of people out there fishing. I used to do that, but turns out I just as happy throwing rocks into the water as hooks. Although I do like eating fish. Maybe I should get back into it once my kids don't need as much constant supervision.

Gear Tip - Best and cheapest mod for your trailer or RV is to buy thse Camco Vent insulators for the bedroom roof vents. Blocks 100% of light, so you can sleep in.

Good idea, we used to use pieces of thick foam, works well also!

I was blown away this was a thing, but it fits so perfectly, seems silly to hack up anything else.

I’m in full agreement, bought 3 of them and throw then in when the sun goes down. They also help keep the trailer cool in th AM. I got mine on amazon.

Campground Review - Dutch Creek PRA. Not too far off the beaten path, only about 20 minutes on gravel, and 2.5 hours from the city, but well out of cell range. Has a creek running through it, and isnt terribly busy. FCFS. I grabbed what I consider the best spot Wednesday at 5PM, there was other good spots available until Thursday evening, and even Saturday morning there was some spots available on the inside loop. No wood or water on site. Bring you own. Racehorse Creek, Oldman North, and Livingston Falls are somewhat nearby, and all pretty good. I like the this one for the creek though. Interestingly, they sell about ten of the sites seasonally, so there's a bunch of senior citizens who live there all summer. Handy if you like to chat, and means there's a kind of informal block-watch in case your kid wanders off.

View of my trailer in the site:

And view from my outdoor kitchen to the creek, which is nice and shallow for kids to play in.

I have camped in that spot.... I love Dutch creek, I need to get out there this summer

You can only keep fish on a small section of the old man river... the rest are catch and release

I posted earlier that I bought a blueox swaypro... i finally went on a large trip. I went to Saskatchewan for a week and 20 hours on the road towing with it now, I have a really good appreciation for how good this hitch is... I drove home yesterday and there was some major wind and seeing other people with normal WDH setups have their trailer blow sideways on the road really scared the crap out of me ang I was not even driving that TV. I debated not even going home cause the wind was so strong.... towing with the blueox my trailer was very stable in these trying conditions. My tow experience has been totally transformed. 12 yrs towing with my Reese WDH all I can think now is WTF was I doing... it is quite, easy to hook up, and you can back up with it fully hooked up.

Totally recommend it if your in the market for a new hitch. It is a little pricy but worth it.

good call, since I don't fish anymore, I don't even check the regulations. Back when I did fish, I always checked and abided by the regulations.

If anyone is at Costco, I'd like you to post a photo of the in-store pricetag for the two champion 3100 and 3400 inverter generators. This one and the 3400 w dual fuel if they are still in the local stores.

I'll answer my own question. Went to NE location tonight. They only have the 3100w inverter one and some godawful construction unit. Price is $50 less than online.

How quite are those units? They used to be louder then a freight train...

What is the amps on that thing, my now old Yamaha 3000 is a 23 amp a d if you run it with Ac unit you need to make sure that everything else is off or it trips the breaker

They've made some changes. It rates very highly for the few independent tests that are out there. Supposed to be 58 dB under load.

    I'm not expecting Honda quality.

Also, I'm getting the MicroAir Easy Start too, which should solve the breaker issue.

Few people in our group have had good success with MicroAir Style units, or even just going to buy a large capacitor and throwing it in line. That one you linked is quite oversized for most AC's. Could probably save yourself some money going with a smaller one. Most AC units will run off my EU2000 without an issue when they are used.

Those Champion Inverters have come a long way, but still dont seem to last nearly as long as the Honda's or the Yamahas.... One guy in our group has gone through 3 of them over the years and I am still on my original Honda.... Just food for thought depending on how much you camp etc. That being said they are half the price.

Does microair make smaller ones? Or you mean if you were making your own?

Midweek trip to little bow. Nice lake and beach, absolute garbage campground. Or maybe I'm spoiled by going to kananaskis usually?

Yeah, people have been recommending it to me for years, but it was brutal.
I almost live in that rig this season, and so far I'm really liking it. Still miss the Ecoboost though.
