Ahhh- that makes a lot of sense. Yeah I saw a few golf ball’d rigs. I dropped off the night of the tornado warning, thankfully the lot was unscathed. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

The rental units are all fibreglass sides, so that isn't normally damaged, but the skylights and vent caps were destroyed. I was on the roof of mine there and it was a war zone of red tuck tape up there.

Ya thanks, I’m locked in till April but I’ll look at them next year. Our place is definitely rinky dink, gonna load the trailer with mice traps this winter
And dryer sheets and the dollar store dehumidifier things. $20 at the dollar store well spent.

If anyone needs propane bottles Home Depot has 4-1lb packs for $11.82.

I used an entire box of Costco sized dryer sheets last winter, and not one mouse or turd to be found. The trailer smelled so fresh the first use too. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Soap and dryer sheets are the biggest myths when it comes to mice, but it keeps getting spread around for some reason. Make sure you don't have holes for them to crawl in, don't have a dump of a trailer and you'll be good.
See Crank. See Crank Walk. Walk Crank Walk.
I have scientifically proven that dryer sheets work from my single mouse free winter.
Anecdata is best data
No tank swap offered (or perhaps just no recert 30lb'ers available) at the Fill n Go but it was painless to drop off my expired tank and should be much cheaper than a brand new 30lb tank.
chill guys there.
Yeah they don't always have 30 lb tanks around. Usually only a couple, and if someone buys em in the morning. They can run out. Small shop, chill guys.

I've been at Stowaway since last October. Nothing but good things to be said.
Great write up about them. Only thing missing is potable water fill up is free. They also sell firewood, but its pricey.
Just picked up one of https://www.costco.ca/unique-portabl...100425835.html off kijiji for a song. We'll see how our 5-year-old group 24 manages on a trip this weekend.
I knew from last year that two of my trailer tires were quite worn on the inside edge from a misaligned axle. I got an alignment at standens, but I was trying to avoid buying new tires, because I'm a cheap ass. Well, realized today as I was preparing to leave on a trip tomorrow that one tire was much worse than I remembered. Like down to the steel belts. Fuck.
Realized this about 1pm. Called urban X north, they ordered me two tires, which came in around 245pm. I ripped straight over and I was bavk home and had then in the trailer by 4pm. I just don't think it could have been done any faster.
Once again excellent service from UrbanX. Bob must have a day off, but Kenny and that Scotsman took good care of me.
Really hope that these ones wear evenly, because if they don't I will be very pissed.
So, you RV types, don't forget UrbanX does trailer tires too.

Good to know.
So i just tried undoing the bolts on my reese trailer hitch to turn it upside down and it does not budge at all. Any tips other than taking it somewhere to undo these two bolts? I think they are about 1 2/16" size
Pipe wrench, breaker bar and two people. Torque on those is like 300 ft lbs, so you’ll need a good amount of force to undo and redo themThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

A small bit of propane smell at times. Levellers would’ve been nice at Pierre Grey, but other than that, solid. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
We drove 2,500km, on a 15 day rental. I paid $2,650 A couple sites out of the way, but a loop basically of GP, to FSJ, to PG & home.
Seems like decent value.
Still calculating fuel, as the lady was paying for that. Damn expensive fill ups though. ($250 maxed)

Got tucked away at Stow-Away this afternoon. Used the dump at CanaDream one last time. Have a couple weeks of non-camping now, so trailer will be sitting until mid-Aug. Brought the batteries home to leave on the tender.

Took it to the hitch shop and they just cut the bottom of the mount off so now I have more clearance. Although I fully loaded my trailer today and I had about 3” of clearance once I took the tension bars off. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Also buddy of mine has a weird issue - his toilet keeps getting clogged. We realize that the Thetford toilet is not directly over the black tank and has this odd waterslide from the 3" pipe towards the black tank - Any advise?
He uses RV paper and has 4 girls and a wife lol
TThe way he gets the clog out is boiling hot water and a stick
