Honestly, you will own this thing for 2 seasons and then change anyway. Either larger, or bunk, or Expedition style or something. Right now you need a basic box for the lowest price.

Single vs tandem axles is a small deal on a light traiker like this. Don't sweat that.

I'm going to slightly disagree about the axles. On a small trailer the tandem will make it significantly easier to back it in without jackknifing the unit. Small trailers are a huge bitch to back in because you can move the steering wheel an inch and next thing you know you're doing wheelies.

Having said that no way is it worth the extra money.

I have a mild preference for a tandem axle unit. but it's a small deal. Honestly short trailers are hard to back up anyway. What I find funny is some of the Axle ratings vs trailer GVW situations. Was looking at one recently with tandem 3500 lbs axles, and a "rated" tonge wieght of 650 lbs, and yep, GVWR is 7650 lbs.

On a trailer with a 5000 gvwr, I'd take a singe 5000lbs axle without hesitation. Not sure what the rating on each of the tandem axles is.
I know people who have bought a trailer and immediately upgraded to heavier axles for the safety factor, service life, and better brakes.

Really going back and forth on buying a trailer but have narrowed it down to these three. None of the dealers seem to want to move on price so I'm not sure if I'm going to go ahead with this. Any comments on any of these selections? The third option is quite a bit more then the other two though.

Forget the winny unless you're okay with spending that much. Also it is a much heavier unit, are you sure you can pull it?

The Wolf Pup has better storage and a better kitchen but the fridge location is stupid. But the fridge is almost twice the size.

Ha, know a couple that bought a new trailer and one of the cabinet doors just fell apart the first time they opened it. Like WTF.

The other big delta with the Winnie? It's only 7' wide, which is a big plus if you're towing with a smaller vehicle, and [could be] a minus if you value the extra space.

I came very close to dropping the 28k-30k on the similar winnie and instead opted for used at a small fraction that price. I'm just as happy and not even angry when i accidentally scrape it by a tree with my wife giving me directions as a back up

I haven't really studied the numbers as much as should have. I'll get on that now. My tow vehicle will be a 2017 GMC 1500 with the 6.2 motor.

I should have never looked at new trailers. Now the wife seems not impressed with the looks of the used ones. Haha fuck.

I think I'll take this advice. Another part of my problem is our dogs extreme seperation anxiety, so he starts screaming as soon as she gets out of the truck without him, which makes communication difficult, as well as making my blood pressure skyrocket.

Yep. Drop wife and kids at playground or day use area and I'll park the trailer. By the time they wander back I usually have it chocked and unhooked and maybe even levelled.

But yeah the first couple of times was hilarious. Like I had about 2 inches between the trailer and the hookups and she's like "isn't that plenty of space?"
