After a bit of wait, I finally got the 4iiii podiiiium installed on the right side crank. Now I have powah on both legs! Just did an hour time trial route by my house. The verdict is that I'm 55% conservative. It sort of explains the lower reading with my left side PM than my kickr. I'll be riding again tomorrow and see what my balance is.

Does the 55% conservative mean you have a 45/55 Left-Right balance? That seems like a pretty big discrepancy - do you have a big difference in leg length?

I have no idea. I’ll have to take a few more reading to see if it varies. Rode a different bike today, stupid wind.

I’d go for a few more rides before coming to any definitive conclusions. I’m usually anywhere between 52/48 and 50/50 but everyday is a bit different. Any downsides to having one sided other than not having the power balance and having the power estimated by doubling the one side? Looking at getting a pm for the lady but also don’t want to spend for dual sided. Would rather spend the extra on my own toys.

I don't think you are missing much using a single side PM. As long as the PM is measuring my power consistently, I'm using it as a benchmark other than absolute number. I've been wondering about the discrepancy between the left side PM and the kickr and I got a decent deal for the podiiiium so I jumped. It's not like I can adjust my imbalance on the fly.

I thought my right side was stronger, then I found out that I'm between 52/48 to 50/50 after a few rides. So the conclusion was that I'm just weak.

So I completed the Fondo this Weekend at 4:44 chip time. 4:29 rolling time. I stayed with a buddy in North Van so we picked to the Start line from his place. On the way one of my spokes snapped causing a major wobble in my back wheel. I took it to the mechanic at the start line but he couldn’t do much and no one had spokes. So I did the whole ride with a 1/4” wobble on my back wheel and a very loose back brake. That part sucked but the ride was fun. Anyone have a spare rear wheel they want to get rid of cheap? Mine is totally toast now.

Congrats. The fondo would own me. I would be cramping so bad. I joined the 8k climbing challenge this month which I hope to complete.

congratulations! i was 4:56 chip, 4:40 moving time. i was pretty conservative for the first half because i wasn't sure what to expect after squamish... overall though wasn't too bad and probably could've pushed the envelope a bit more. the rain kinda sucked though... despite all the precautions, water finds a way in somehow!

Did the gate to gate to gate at last on saturday with a couple ol' boys. Glad we brought iodine tabs as it got stupid hot on the way back and was pushing our water limit. Mega-sun burn snuck up on me.

Fortress has their hard-ice cream as well, so finished with a very overpriced AGD and Mint Chocolate Chip cone for recovery!

It was hot yesterday. I didn't go all the way to the south gate and I finished both my bottles. Got some solid cyclist tan.
