Ruger makes a cool .22LR over top of a .410, that would be a fun little gun! Nice work, those two guys look tasty. Hopefully I come home with something tasty Sunday!

I have been hunting partridge this year around Blackie but didn't have much luck. Ran into a couple guys that did though. Would like to try for grouse too but have no clue where to go.Originally posted by KRyn
Where about? What do you hunt grouse/partridge with? .22 or .410?

Any good at duck hunting?
Private area or public? I am looking for a few new areas! Just bought 2 dozen decoys going out tomorrow! Will report back!Originally posted by ramminghard
Not really! We have had good luck at Namaka Lake which is close to Calgary.
Out today with a couple buddies for Pheasant today!
Public. You could check our Frank Lake too. http://www.ducks.ca/your-province/al...ea/frank-lake/Originally posted by KRyn

Heading there in a few hours!
I've had a lot of success on private land. Most of the time the landowner doesn't have a problem with it, just ask in advance and let him know where you want to go. I've offered shares of the meat before as well. Small price to pay for getting a nice buck.
I can eat more hot wings than you.
I'm pretty spoiled for terrain here. 5 minutes up the road onto crown land, and we have mule, white- tails, elk, moose, and pretty much everything else with 4 legs.
I've got a .300 WSM Browning A-Bolt composite stalker with a Nikon monarch scope.
Today we got skunked at Frank Lake had a good time a learned a bit. Hopefully next time goes better. Anyone an experienced duck hunter care to enlighten me or better yet take me with them? Got two dozen decoys!
Are you actually located in B.C? If you are in Alberta do you ever need another set of hands?Originally posted by atgilchrist

Did you get access by simply knocking on doors and pounding the pavement?
Keep your heads up guys and hunt safe, old friend of mine just died on Friday out in the bush in an accidental shooting.
Be careful out there, even experienced people make mistakes.

Only been hunting four a few years, still learning lots, but I love it!

Pretty much! Usually I'll spot some good deer while I'm working and come back to the area and ask the home owner. As long as you treat the land good and close gates, they don't seem to mind. I may just be lucky though!

Taber pheasant festival was awesome! Definitely worth looking into for any bird hunter!

Does anyone here shoot a .270? If so do you load? Because I have a lot that I'd like to sell. Father in law passed and we'd like to sell it off if we can.
