Now, three months later, Rogers has announced plans to bring the red, white and yellow Lumia 920 to Canadians. There’s no word on the exact launch date as Rogers says this will hit stores “in the coming weeks,” but those who want to make sure they secure a device can reserve one on the Rogers Reservation System (you’ll have to drop down a $40 deposit). The red, white and yellow Lumia 920 will be the same price as the black version at $99.99 on a 3-year or $599.99 on a month-to-month plan.

Would've loved a red one but the black one will suffice.

After a slightly heated discussion with Rogers CST, I preordered the white one. My last HUP was 2 1/2 years ago, and during that time, they changed the early upgrade process twice - with each time, my 'early upgrade fee' increased. I also got an extra credit applied.

Anyone know how to import Outlook 2010 calendar into the phone?

I tried the Sharing function in Outlook and Publishing online but IT is blocking it. I tried emailing the .ics file to myself but the phone won't recognize it.

You need to be using an enterprise, exchange, or other solutions that supports publishing calendars. Outlook on its own won't do it.

Google Apps/Office 365 are the two most popular.

Crap, that's what I was afraid of. We have an enterprise solution (Good) but it only worked for WP7. It's apparently not compatible to WP8 and won't be till 2H of 2013.

So there's no way to save your calendar locally to the phone?

Does WP8 sync with gmail and google calender? Because if it does, then download google calender sync on the PC and it will pull your outlook calender and push it to your gmail.

If you're coming from a BB, it's going to be a bit of a change for you in terms of the touch screen and what not. I don't find the weight to be too much of an issue now. The 920 usually lasts me a day and a half and that includes lots of emails with push, some gaming, lots of texting/chatting and browsing the web. I had my phone crash a few times prior to the update, but have not experienced any problems since. I like the way the device is built, as shown in some youtube videos, it will survive a lot of wear and tear. There is rumor that there is a lighter version of the 920 coming this year that will have a metal body versus the plastic one that it is now. Same hardware specs though. Coming from the iphone and having played with BB and Android devices, I am happy with the windows platform.
Thanks! Since it's a company phone, black plastic will do. I put my request in today so hopefully I'll get it next week or so.

Google Calendar Sync is going to die at the end of the month.

Anyone uses internet radio in their Lumia 920?

I noticed that if I switch from internet radio to music in the phone or vice-versa, the volume level doesn't follow; the latter is always softer.

It still does the same issue whether the device has audio levelling on or off.

    Is this a defect?

Also, I seem to have minute scratches on my Gorilla Glass... How is that possible?

There is a slight difference - I find my music is softer as well compared to the internet radio (I'm using TuneIn). It's not a huge difference, but it's there.

No scratches in my screen yet - i've only had it for a few days. I have heard of people shattering the screen with drops, but nothing about scratches.

Mine is a big difference in softness. I'd say the level drops from 16/30 to ~8-10/30

I talked to Nokia Tech and I'll be dropping the phone at Rogers today to get an assessment.

It's a bug in the software to do with XBOX music I believe. Have to do a power on/off cycle to get it back. Also happens if you're plugging in to headphones and then unplug.

Bloody hell. That's what happens. Now I'm unsure of sending it back because it's a PITA to get everything to my liking again.

I googled this a while back and it seems like Nokia/Microsoft is aware. No point in dropping it off for this if they're already working on it.

Well, I also dropped it and dented the corner because of this stupid instance.
