In settings>extras + info, I see that same number under Label ID. It also says 'Lumia Amber' at the top of this screen so I definitely think I have it...Originally posted by Kinjou
I've got Amber and my version says 3047.0000.1326.10144
the 3047.0000.1326.2001 shows up in settings>about.
Do you see xxx.10144 on both screens? Are you able to download Pro Cam? http://windowsphone.com/s?appid=bfd2...9-69a20f101e04
Btw, I have manually checked for updates and it says I'm up to date.
What does it say under Settings>extras+info>More Info>Manufacturer Name? Mine says RM-820_nam_canada_200
Mine updated fine (Lumia Amber):Originally posted by sabad66

Just Smart Cam for me. Can't find Pro Cam in the Store.Originally posted by sabad66

I guess they pulled Pro Cam out of the store for non 1020s...due to some bugs or something.Originally posted by flipstah

There's a way to get it if you really want it by doing a proxy hack. I did this yesterday and can confirm it works.

Btw, does anyone know of a good way to sync bookmarks from IE10 onto WP8? I was really hoping it would just work when I setup my MS account on it...
I installed Pro Cam on my 920s as soon as it was available. Well worth it, wicked camera app.
Also, looks like the GDR2 update finally fixed that battery drain issue caused by the HTTP stack.

The new Black can now have custom text ringtones! Life is complete.
My 920 battery is shit now so I'll have to get the 1020. Or is there a new WP8 device out soon?
My battery life actually improved again on my 920. I had the GDR3 developer preview installed and I could barely get thru a workday before I needed to plug it in. Once Black came out I was back up to 1.5 full days...Originally posted by flipstah

When was the last time you did a hard reset (hold down power/volume down until it restarts)?
Just now. Background tasks are minimum and SkyDrive back up is default on.Originally posted by hampstor

Bump.
Looks like Microsoft is giving up on the Windows Phone/Lumia platform as a competitor but turning it into a Nexus/OnePlus niche.

Not quite dead yet, there will be new Windows 10 devices.

But I would assume going forward it won't be MS that will be manufacturing the hardware but outsourced much like the Nexus program or Android eco-system.
End of the day, nobody is programming for Windows any more other than enterprises. It's over. Android got 80% market share but it's still 2nd choice for devs to release apps on.
You can tell by the effort MS is working on software released for Android/IOS platforms. There is no point of throwing billions for a distance 3rd.

I recently jumped back into Windows phone with a Lumia 1520. There are definitely more apps than there were when I dropped my 1020 a year ago, but it's still ridiculously poor compared to android or IOS.
Shitty that Microsoft could take such excellent hardware and fuck up the support and marketing that badly.
