Unless your a power lifter or going for strength there is not much benefit to doing 1 rep squats
I wanna see a video 315 for 12 reps with 4 sec negatives with no pause in the movement and constant tension on the quads.
What people fail to do is to create tension on the desired muscle to focused on lifting a certain weight.

Bingo you are correct I am going for strength. I think I may have failed to mention that was my warmup. At the moment at 315 I am able to hit 17 reps total, but broken up I have been able to hit this weight for 5 sets of 10.

And what's wrong with power lifting? I think it's fun, a friend and I are thinking of joining a lifting meet just for fun competition.

I think a few people on here are really taking things a bit too seriously on here. I post to share my own experiences with everyone, along with using others threads and experiences as knowledge and motivation.

In the end why does someone care what or how I do it? Sorry maybe I should start posting up vids doing curls in the rack

Honestly I don't think I had a genuine goal, but now I do.

Strength/endurance first (play lots of hockey) if I can maintain the strength that I have right now @170-180 BW I will be more than happy (current body weight 185)

Also I will continue to intake 3100 cals daily dependent whether my goals do change

I appreciate it and apologize at the same time (lately been getting a lot of flack on here), I'm sure there are a lot of people on here who can gain a lot of insight on what you had mentioned.

Combining heavy weight, higher reps and incorporating a proper pause.

    Recent leg shot

Also thought I would throw this up since it civic_rida has mentioned it, as of late I have been doing 20 sets of 2 @355 with a 7-10 second rest between. (hockey simulation)

Also you will notice my first rep there is a slight bounce, I am also using this weight to help with ROM and stretch. Second rep is a clear pause. This workout is great to get the heartrate up as well preparing your CNS for heavier workload and weight

    Marks.

    Seriously.

It's the only place I can find pants that look good and that fit my relatively slim waist (34) and thicker quads (thanks, squats). I've made some threads on beyond and finally found a style at Marks that looks good, lasts a while, and fits.

    ZOMG!

If anyone has a solution to this problem, i'd love to hear it. I have dozens of jeans like this. They don't last me longer than 3 months.

I wear shorts almost year round. I'm however considering jeggings.
