    yeah man, easiest way is to put a patch in, and trim it for the new fixture. good news is you don't need to bother with re texturing the ceiling as it won't be noticeable. if it is, just get the texture kit in a can and spray it up.

    Use some brake cleaner and shop towels to clean the area around & including the crack VERY well after you score it.

    What is with all these weird replies lately from random people from out of town.
