The Wire, Fringe, Dexter, Game of Thrones, Californication, Community, Suits, Battlestar Galactica, The Boondocks, are all great. I think they're the best of TV from the last decade.
Some good ones but not as good;
White Collar, Lie to Me, The Mentalist, Homeland
There are others of course, this is just off the top of my head. If you haven't seen them I'd probably start with wire, californication and community.
Person of Interest has its moments as well.
If you're down with watching an ~8 part series, watch Generation Kill. It is VERY good.
New episodes of Futurama have been great too.
