On the flip side, he sold the engine for $400 as he cracked the distributor so thats a hell of a deal if you ask me.
As for me I'm still going ahead as planned just the weather is throwing a bit of a damper, I've started pulling the engine, sized up the intercooler and it's WAAAY to big apparently it's rated for like 700hp. I would prefer one that is a bit shorter - maybe 2" thick with 2.5 outlets, that monster is 3" thick with 3" outlets

Glad to see you made it back from Red Deer alive. Have you installed the H&R's yet? I've driven two cars with them equipped (an '03 Lancer and a mazdaspeed 3) and all I can say is that they are hardcore. They corner so flat and so sharp, they really do completely transform a car. My only woe is that they were (on both cars) a tad too low for daily driving, even half an inch up would have been great.
