help getting tv taping tickets in nyc

the wife and i are going to NYC in october and i was hoping to get some show taping tickets for some shows

live with kelly
saturday night live
david letterman

I applied to get some tickets a while ago but haveno heard back. Does anyone know of any other alternative ways to get some tickets?? Or even some advice?
