The Crash Reel
Synopsis:
Kevin Pearce went into a double-cork 1080 one of the world's greatest snowboarders. He came out of a coma six days later, having suffered a traumatic brain injury. Lucy Walker's inspiring documentary tracks his recovery from his devastating accident, following him as he learns to sit up, walk and – eventually – express a wish to get back on his board again. A crash reel – a montage of a boarder's hardest bails – is supposed to be funny, but Walker flips the format painfully on its head. Kevin will never be the athlete he was before his accident. His family sees that, Walker sees that. The Crash Reel is about watching Kevin come round to that realisation. This is an atypical sports movie. It's about placing your ambition on the back burner, about winning by giving up. Kevin's physical recovery is quick. The bigger drama is in his acceptance of what happened and how it has changed him.
Watching one episode of Riverdale completely ruined the comics for me.
I think it could be a good show in a vacuum, I basically have no idea why they bothered with making it about Archie characters as there is just about 0 connection between the comic characters and the book.
I can't get over how angry that show made me so I would put it on the don't watch list. Unless you have never read an Archie before in which case go to town.

It's not meant to be a complete reebot of Archie. It's a drama based on Archie.Originally posted by killramos

Otherwise, it would be a hilarious comedy with a hot Ms. Grundy. Think of all the clumsy jokes you can make out of Archie and Ms. Grundy!
Watched the first season of Van Helsing.
not bad, not great.
It's a walking dead, but with Vampires.

Just finished the first season on Saturday. Pretty good show.Originally posted by sputnik
No one does crime drama better than the UK. Check out Hinterland and Wallander as well. There are several more which have been on PBS, so we're looking at cancelling cable and getting AcornTV on top of Netflix.Originally posted by freshprince1
I've been in to the UK crime drama's recently...and they are so good.
"The Fall" starts slow...but is disturbingly good.
"Shetland" is amazing.
"Broadchurch" is great.
Both are a little slow to begin with, but well worth seeing it through.
More Riverdale! It's great!Originally posted by flipstah

"The Crown" caught my eye, looks to be really good. Only reason it blipped on my radar was yesterday I foumd out Michael C Hall (Dexter) is going to play JFK in it.
GF and I blew through the first season of Santa Clarita Diet
never knew Tim Olyphant was this funny.
The Crown is really slow but it's a well done show, so if you're interested in that story you will probably enjoy it, if not you will probably find it very boring because nothing really happens in it.Originally posted by tehwegz

If you like Tim O, Justified is quite good, lots of humor injected into an otherwise fairly serious show, and Walton Goggins is 10/10 throughout the series as well.
I watched the pilot of Santa Clarita Diet and I am undecided. Is Drew Barrymore that annoying throughout the entire season?

I got CraveTV and watched a few dumb shows (The Flash, Arrow etc) but can't figure out what to watch next. Of course, Soprano's, The Wire, Dexter etc are all good but I have seen them all but want to watch something new.
For comedy fans, watch The I.T. Crowd on Netflix. It's British comedy that I used to watch way back in the day, pretty funny.

W1A is a good BBC comedy. If you've ever worked in an office you'll get the jokes.
Been watching Colony and it's not too bad.
