Current Shaw deals?

Our contract with telus is almost up (yes, I know, contract?! what an idiot!) and we are currently looking to switch over to shaw when it expires. Usually I get the flyers in the mail box outlining their current promotions (which are always better than what is listed on their web site) but I haven't seen one for 3-4 months and I really want to get away from Telus as soon as my contract is up. So I am wondering if anybody knows if there are any good internet only or internet/phone promotions going with Shaw right now? Preferably something without any stupid installation charges?

I would be looking for 7.5 or 10mbit whatever they are currently offering and just home phone basic. Based on their site that is $75/month + installation charges + probably something else I haven't thought of.

I would be open to other internet providers - distributel comes to mind, although they aren't much cheaper at $70/month. Also, I don't mind signing up with shaw, then switching to somebody else after 6 months or however long the promotion is.

If you decide to sign up with Shaw, they will consider you a new customer so they may be able to offer you a promo such as $50/month for full cable + basic internet.

My parents pay around $50 for the full cable and the 2nd slowest internet package.

If not, are you a full-time student perhaps?Student deals are availible as well for $50

honestly easiest thing to do would be to just call shaw haha, they'll let you know the best deals that they have and also how to get your phone number ready to be ported from telus.

i think this is the cheapest promo at the moment..

I should have mentioned, I am not interested in TV at all - we have Bell right now and it's free

for just double play, phone/internet should be around 45 give or take for the first 6 months

I pay $130/mo for every HD channel except porn and movie central, and broadband 100 (100Mbit/sec).

No phone.

The installer was awesome, and I think he charged me for a few feet of cable because I got him to run it through 3 rooms, but it was next to nothing.

I recommend getting rid of basic cable, and only paying for the HD channels you need. I saved $35/mo that way.
