Forza Horizon Thread

This game deserves its own thread, release is next tuesday, i got the call tonight that my pre-ordered copy will be available when they open tuesday.

I played the demo a bit and found it fairly enjoyable, it will be a great game and i do believe there is some good multiplayer mixed in. We can have some beyond Forza Horizon races.

I played the demo as well, and honestly it didn't 'feel' like a forza game. I'm not sure what it was.

Yeah, I think anybody who goes into this game expecting Forza-like driving is going to be disappointed. I haven't played it yet but I see it being more like Burnout Paradise or TDU than anything.

your forza skills won't be needed in this game it's a arcade style game, with decent control.

i want to know how the modding of cars is before i buy it. can you make them look different?? and how many cars?? i'm sure it will be a decent game still but not sure if i want to get into it.

You can mod the cars the same as previous Forza.

Well as long as the modding is similar. Although for a game of this style, they need some police chases.

Turn all aids off and switch it to simulation steering and the driving experience is a lot better.

I agree, after i did that, i very much enjoyed the driving experience the game had to offer, tho i felt the cars gripped a tiny bit more than i'd like them to at times, my hope is that with upgrades it'll be ALOT more fun, on Wednesday morning I will post up a quick review if I have time before work.

got around to playing the demo a little bit tonight it was ok but i am partial to regular forza for gameplay. we'll see when the actual game comes out though.

After seeing many initial gameplays, I feel like it's a mix between Need for Speed: Pro Street enviroments, Dirt 3 physics and graphics, and Forza 4 car list.

they removed the tuning features, so its just upgrades now.
and i agree, has a very NFS feel to it.

I have a feeling they are going to regret going away from the simulation style racing when their sales numbers come in... I have been wrong before though.

They said they will make forza 5 still this is just a game to expand the genre.

Tried the demo. Not sure why they didn't just add an open concept to the forza 4 model. Would have been awesome.

Wont be buying this one, seems too NFS'ey.

Very expensive so it will be a mess trying to get that many points as I currently have 900. Includes the rally pack and I think only 36 or 42 cars

Based on the posts in this thread I think it would be a better move to not purchase this game but get NFS:MW instead?
