Had a chance to spend 15 days in Scotland working on creative projects for a few different distilleries this past summer. The highlight was spending nearly a week on the ground with Springbank. Such an incredible place and easily my favorite distillery in all of Scotland. Springbank controls every single aspect of the whisky making process, doing nearly all of it by hand. They malt all of their own barley (something very few distilleries still do), peat the malt by hand, and then follow the rest of the process all the way to bottling on site. Amazing commitment to tradition, and the proof is truly in the product at the end. Thought I'd share a few shots, such an amazing place!

Akkeshi is definitely one of my favourite Japanese distilleries. This was the only reasonably-priced bottle we found and fortunately at the Duty Free in Ginza.

Not sure if everyday price but great deal.

I've never had any of these
I can eat more hot wings than you.
Got to try these last night at the tasting, the 74 was a ride, very exceptional to say the least.
Was a good event, found a few new bottles to pick up eventually.

A rare instance of being able to have scotch shipped to Canada. I've received the DHL notification already.
Got some 12 CS and 18. In hindsight I should have asked about a group buy given the shipping charge of £30.
If you're familiar with the regular 12, it's a complex sherries scotch with a hint of peat and saltiness.

I'm not usually a big peat guy but KWM has a Bruichladdich tasting with some outstanding samples, so we'll see if I write off most of Islay or not
We'll start with the Laddie Classic to give us a baseline, before working our way through Black Arts 11.1, Port Charlotte 10 Year, Port Charlotte PMC:01, and a trio of Octomores: 14.1, 14.2, and 14.3.

Nice snag, bet that CS 12 is a belter! I get bottles shipped from Scotland all the time, just need to find a brand who’s willing to send them over!
Any Kensington wine market aficionados hear anything about this years sale? Last years was fantastic
Oh interesting! What other ones have you ordered? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Costco has their Kirkland Speyside available again, 18YO this time. For $100 these bottles are a steal. Also Benromach 10 for $55! tsuuTina
Brent, I did a tasting a week ago with KWM and usually they drop notices but nothing about the sale. Was it a Black Friday thing last year? Their calendar this year sounds like it's packed with some real goodies.
