I've seen it at KWM and Rocky Mountain Wine Spirits in the past.

Yo bro, are you from that goat Calgary car forum that get salty over lawn care, land rovers and circumcisions? That's straight fire.

I'm drinking Benriach curiositas 10 year old. Deep peat and smoke. I'll be buying this one again, but also into suggestions for something even peatier.
Diabetes has killed my beer life, hard liquor makes my glucose levels drop.

I've recently switched to Ardbeg for my daily drinker, either Corryvreckan or Uigeadail.. both can be had for ~$100 and are great value at that price, IMO. I slightly prefer corryvreckan, but they're both great.

For lots of peat, offerings from Ardbeg, Laphroaig, Kilchoman, Talisker, Lagavulin.

Benriach, Benromach, Glen Scotia, or Bowmore are less peaty than say an Ardbeg but have peaty options.

Port Charlotte is a good peaty one too.

Recently had this at the KWM Burn's festival and it was phenomenal. Almost picked it up and then heard my wife's voice in my head... https://www.kensingtonwinemarket.com...rlotte-14-year

Some Kilkerran 12 and Longrow at the Altadore Crowfoot location. First time I've ever seen something like that just sitting on the shelf. They had a few bottles of each

Took a drive around town to check out some stuff. Turns out I should have just stayed close by.

Couple things: Glenturret 15 is on sale at the Richmond Rd Highlander. Also there, a stunning deal on Bookers 7.

Headed down to good ol' KWM and added the G&M. Was wanting a 'sherry bomb" intensity of flavour but with no sherry at all, just light tropical fruits. After trying a few new things and referencing some owned things, I ended up with the 2006 G&M Glentauchers. This nails exactly what I wanted thanks to all the staff's input.

The Hazelburn doesn't impress me at all right now, drinks hot and pretty meh. I had the same thing with the 12 oloroso and after having it open for a few months the high burn is gone and it's saturated with sherry. So I'll circle back to this later because right now it's borderline regret purchase.

The Craigellachie from Whiskey Sponge is fantastic. It's got some bold tropical fruits, some weird savoury cheese hints and super thick mouth feel. It sounds like such a weird combo but I absolutely love this bottle.

Now the Glentauchers. It's delicate but packs a huge tropical fruit hit. Oily and a bit of a chew (not as much as above) but really balanced.

For all the hype around Springbank etc al., this is a gentle reminder to me that there's incredible scotch on the shelf. Well not always, I definitely should have bought KWM 2003 Benromach, damn that thing was incredible.
