Can't help with import to Canada but for bottling I believe there's usually a fixed fee plus bottle cost for bottling so right away your unit costs are going to be high. Plus, I'd assume you're unlikely to get the same price per liter for a half cask as a full one but I guess it all depends on what they can broker for you.

If you're not set on Scotch, perhaps it would be cheaper/easier to speak with a Canadian distiller and see if they could do a special batch run of something for you using custom labels? I haven't heard of it being done yet but it seems like a potentially sweet niche.
Yeah, definitely set on Scotch and not really looking at this as a monetary investment, so any diminished value to the remaining value from draws isn't really a concern, even though the broker has provided examples of aged partial casks at values roughly in line with equivalent full casks.

The bottling costs again aren't really a factor when looking at the wholistic value of a draw and the equivalent unit cost of something you'd otherwise buy in store.

Looks now like the AGLC will need to be involved in order to bring any meaningful volume in... That sounds fun.

Random liquor store find! The flavors of the 12 are there just more intense and sherry forward. I'm into it but sad I'll likely never find this again.

That is a really nice bottle… I bought a buddy that one for Christmas year before last. After trying it later I wanted to get one for myself but they were sold out

Nice discount on the Dalmore Cigar Malt. One of the few Dalmores that are >40% LOL. Never have bought any Dalmores because of that

Oh! No sorry it was the last one. Tucked away and beat up container lol. But it was 10% off so that was nice! Liquor store in Altadore by the pub. Nothing else really stuck out as rare but decent prices with the discount.

I usually drink Bourbon, Rye, or Gin in the Summer Months but I've wanted that Ledaig Rioja Cask for a while and was sad when it sold out so I had to jump on it when I saw it back in stock.

I've heard the Finlaggan is like drinking a motor oil fire and given this is Beyond that is right up my alley so had to pick it up as well to get free shipping

The Ledaig should be calm compared to the Finlaggan!

Here's one of the many similar reviews that led to me buying it:

*Nose* : Fire! Burning tar, a beach bonfire, a chemical fire, an oil lamp— where there is smoke there is fire. There are bits of corroded batteries— copper, chemical, and smelling a bit of rust. Lovely meat turning on a spit over an open flame. The smoke is vaguely salty and chemical, but more than anything it is sinus-clearlingly herbal.

*Palate* : The industrial fire leads off— hot metal and burning chemicals. However the body is not all smoke and fire; sweeter desserts come to front— toasted sugar and heavily caramelized custard. The overall body is pretty light with just enough oily character to really spread different sorts of sweet and bitter smokey notes across the palate. There is an almost waxy character— a hot candle wax right after the wick has been extinguished. Bits of salt and smoke remind me of a smoked cheese.

*Finish* : Lingering charred herbs and salt.

*Mental Image* : A dumpster fire; but like a classy dumpster where someone threw away a bunch of rosemary.

I like a punch to the mouth every once in a while... likely won't be opening it until Autumn, though!

Where did you find it and how much? I could score some serious points with a bottle of that.

KWM has their bday sale today. Some good finds in there.

Picked up the Bladnoch 19 at 25% off. Been on my list for awhile; I'm sureit will be the sherry monster I'm expecting it to be!
