    Default STI Gas Mileage

I am just curious as to what kind of gas mileage those driving STIs get. My car gets likely some of the worst mileage ever recorded by an STI. I average about 14-16 MPG in the city (assuming I stay out of boost) and have managed about 17-19 MPG on the highway. Is this par for the course with an STI or is mine exceptionally bad?

I get about 450km/tank city driving. Haven't tried a full tank on the highway yet. Mine's an 08

I think if I filled my tank and drove in 6th at 110 with cruise control I could manage to get 450km/tank. I am going to attempt this Friday, when I drive to Edmonton.

Do you put in 40, 50, 60L in? Makes a big difference in consumption calcs.

Holy shit, my STI has a 60L tank... That means my consumption is even worse!

I get about 13-15 MPG in the city and maybe 16-17 on the highway!

on my '05 I got about 400 in the summer and 350 in the winter stock.

    I got 300 w/ the FMIC, 20G, injectors, etc...

Do you have a boost gauge? If you don't, you would be surprised how often you are actually in boost, even with light throttle. Boost = eats fuel.

I have a boost gauge and don't make full boost until 4 grand. If I get on it really hard I am obviously making some boost before then. I don't feel so bad now after hearing this, what kind of power did you make?

My car needs to get retuned eventually, but I don't think I need any more power for my first winter in it.

Highway I get ~10L/100km and between 12-14L/100km in the city, that's with an '05 sti engine but RA gearing/5spd.

If you take anything I have to say seriously, you're gunna have a bad time.

    I averaged 11.5L/100km in my 07 STi...40% city and 60% highway usually.

In another year or so after you have put 3,598 kms on yours in three years (your wife will be telling you 'I told you so') and you want to sell it, let me know. At that point, I will own my first and only Evo!

I would ask you what kind of mileage you get out of your newest Evo but I doubt you have even driven it enough to use an entire tank of gas!

It took me 1/2 the summer to drain the tank....so i could finally put a tank of 94 in it..so yeah, i can't comment on the mileage. All i know is that it absolutely loved the 94 octane gas...tons of power and seemingly impossible, but better mileage....

I drove it too much this summer.....a quick trip out to Merritt and another weekend to Storm mountain and i'm now at 2300 miles for the summer....

Sit tight - i'm working on bringing a EVO V over.....

Is there a difference in fuel capacity of the STi? I usually put in ~55L (so 60L tank)
Also, Kryn, your car is modified, I think the numbers you are getting sound right.

I swear there is something whack with your tune KRyn, when I drove your car it felt like it was going WOT when the accelerator was only a 1/3 depressed, the remaining pedal travel wasn't doing much. You should have Airboy adjust that for you. Also I think you are running richer than you should be.

Gah, stop driving my future car so much please. I would like it to remain in MINT condition while you are holding it for me!

Evo V!? What for, winter beater?

That is the conclusion I am starting to draw after hearing the mileage of everyone else with a highly modified STI. The gas mileage goes from bad to non-existant.

Next summer it will be retuned for sure. Hopefully I can pick up a few MPG and 25-100 WHP!
