Ok, I am new to the area, and thinking we should take the girls out tobogganing. Looking for a hill that won't get them going crazy fast, and easy for them to hike up.
any ideas?

I drive there a lot and those are by far the most insane I've ever seen. Definitely need safety equipment going down hahaha. Someone also made a huge jump at the bottom of one of them. Those must be tiring to go up though. Someone needs to build a tow rope LOL.Originally posted by Cos
the ring road near royal oak where the soccer fields are.
You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!
Go to Hidden Valley and there is a great hill just north of the skating rink, you can see it from Beddington Trail.
My daughters are the same age as your kids and it's perfect for them.
Just off Deerfoot Tr, south of 64th Ave NE is a little park/baseball diamond. I remember that hill being steep as all hell.

Unfortunately googlemaps doesn't show elevation gain/drop so well but that's the approximate spot.
Here's the spot I was talking about, the hill is much bigger than it looks here:

NW corner of Laycock park, great hill that my kids used to use although the trees at the bottom probably should be farther away. Snow gets packed down quick which makes for a fast ride.Originally posted by Affinityion

Is there Any street lights or something? I'm planning to bring the kids there tonight at around 6-7pm so I'm just wondering if its bright enough.Originally posted by Perfect Dark
