lol but in all seriousness that is crazy. I was planning to go to NYC at this time too, you know, Autumn in New York where the leaves turn yellow. Thank god I opted for the warmer temperatures in early October instead of yellow leaves. I would have gotten owned.

This was supposed to be the "Perfect Storm" due to factors listed above. This year we did actual prep. Having a wife from Florida puts you into instant paranoia mode. There was a ton of wind and high-speed rain since last night. The major threat was/is the flooding. Anything by the water is flooded. My office on Wall Street is closed till Wednesday. Our biggest concern is power loss. The power company is shutting down power in any high risk areas including spots in Manhattan. We are completely charged (laptops, cells, battery pack, MiFi's, flashlights, etc.) because last year power outage lasted a week in Long Island (15mins away)

Outside my window is an eerie calm. Not a tree moving, nor a drop in sight, but the lights are flickering. This up down pattern has been on/off for the last few hours. Mayor just announced that the worst is behind us and now need to insure that salt water has not gotten into dangerous areas.
