Life is constant learning, challenges, failures & rewards. Think about that.Originally posted by ercchry
sure, but why would you want this for her? it was fucking painful at the time. yeah sure you can always look at it as "oh it makes you a stronger adult" ... but why would you be okay with this?
if someone has the drive to be successful, then they will be successful, eventually. if that person can find out what fits them best early on. then they will have a better chance of reaching that level of success. the only want to do this is with experiences. when you limit those you limit the growth
My god people, 89coupe said in his first post, in this thread that he did not create, that she had to ask for permission to drink pop. So where in the hell did you people get the idea that she wasn't allowed - help me out here by quoting the exact 89coupe post where he said she wasn't allowed to drink pop.Originally posted by CompletelyNumb
She isn't even allowed to drink pop man
And for the record, our 14 year old daughter also asks before she gets a pop from the fridge which isn't often because we just don't have the stuff in the house - she is allowed but she has also been educated as to the differences between what pop does for her versus milk or other more nutritious beverages.

This thread has taught me that I overcame all odds..... despite drinking pop without asking my parents.... I somehow became successful.
I am the 1%.
EDIT: I also chose my own school, program, had free reign on internet access, hung out with friends past 10pm, volunteered once for only a few months, and almost never did homework!
I AM THE 0.0000000001 PERCENT!

I'm not. I drank pop whenever I felt like it, internetted (well, ok BBS'd) alone in my room, smoked drugs and drank in gr.12, and now I'm typing all this from my jail cell, on a contraban cell phone I sold my ass (literally) to pay for.
