    Got a Visio diagram?

Need complete end to end setup and IP's to diagnose something like this.

Any traceroutes for before and after the 8.8.8.8 ping stops responding?

ooh.. TELUS device is probably causimg IGMP Multicast flooding problems. (I dont roll with the TELUS crowd so im out of the know here)

Which can effectivly shut down the wireless and even the serivce on the router.

Or you can use IGMP Snooping to prevent the flooding.

Even use IGMP Proxy and not use a TELUS router. Muwahah.

    bit more googling finds this:

    http://keithbalomben.wordpress.com/2...d-information/

    and

    http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r257...TELUS-firmware

Tons of features to modify, and you can even turn on a bridge mode, that allows your IPTV to still work, and use a normal router.

    Dont worry about the $10.

keep in mind, if you put the v1000h into bridge mode, the coax component on the router will no longer work and you will have to plug in all of your TV boxes into the additional Ethernet ports of the v1000h (2-4). Port 1 would go to your second router. You will not use your second router for TV at all, all of that will go off the first router (v1000h) in bridge mode.

I have this setup at home with a cisco router behind it.

    Diagram doesnt show up.

Can you give me an End to End explaination of what you are trying to do? (with the eoip, etc). and why?

I may have some better solution for you depending on your requirements.

Hi - thanks alterac - you are the best - ill fix the diagram url in moment

EOIP allows us at work to access other branches as if it was the same LAN. all protocols work over it so its neat.

Why isnt IPTV2 Plugged into the DWL Switch?

The EOIP Tunnels shouldnt be a problem then.

Also, are you Bridging or Routing over those EOIP Tunnels?

What is with the duel Router / dual Cablemodem setup?

Im also assuming all the devices that are not IPTV's are usign a different default GW, one of the two ASUS N16's ?

The IPTV2 is too far from the switch - but even bypassed the n16 to try it - same results

the dwl switch has a ton of "IGMP spoofing" stuff but i have no idea what to with it.

Dual router-dual modem for reduency/loadbalance- my idea since somedays i dont feel like driving downtown to reset a shaw modem (victoria park is notorious for that) but even without the dual router i still have the same problem. (i took them out completely)

the IPTVs are asigned the telus gateway.

the EOIP are bridged. its been up for 4 years we never had any issue until the IPTV2.

here is a screen shot from my switch - this is a "high end" switch from "dlink"

what should do with IGMP snooping?
I do know the wireless bridge comes out port24-and port22 goes to my n16 and then to my telus box but i can just connect the telusbox to port 22 for now. or any other port..

you can try enabling IGMP Snooping on all the ports, and see if that helps, it should either work, or break the IPTV.

In theory, it should listen to the join messages of the IPTV and only put the traffic through the ports required instead of broadcasting it over the entire network.

and should i enable "Multicast Data Allow" on the UBNT client side and the Multicast Data: Allow All
    Multicast Enhancement: on our side?

    Thanks in advance.

I dont know what that option will do, it's prolly best to consult the manual for it
