Default Auto Obsessed Restorative Detail - Ferrari F430 Spider

Auto Obsessed performed one of their most extensive restoration details on this Black F430 Spider. The engine bay, exhaust tips and interior was extensively detailed while the paint saw a complete 2 and 3 step correction.

A quick look at vehicle revealed its condition:

We began this detail with the wheels, P21s Wheel Cleaner Gel was used:

W99 was used to clean the wheel wells:

P21s Polishing Soap was used to remove the initial grime from the exhaust tips:

P21s Total Auto Wash was used to clean the engine bay:

The ragtop was cleaned using Raggtopp Cleaner and a Horsehair Brush:

After the vehicle was dried, we began taking paint thickness measurements to understand the overall condition of the paint. Some areas were extremely healthy:

With the exterior detail completed it was time for the interior. The leather contained staining in which Swissvax Leather Cleaner removed:

    Before:

    After:

Plastic wrap was found throughout the interior's trim left behind from the factory and dealership and the owner requested that we remove them. Because the carpet was wraped in plastic prior to the interior's assembly, the trim had to be removed to completely remove the plastic:
    An example:

    Disassembly of trim:

    Plastic removed:

    Carpets were then vacuumed:

    Sill plates were polished, 50/50:

    Amazing!

Would anyone else be upset if after spending that much on a car, Ferrari left plastic wrap around the car?!

Most if not all the super cars I've worked on are like that. Some owners even prefer to leave the plastic in, as it prevents wear and helps hold the value when it comes time for re-sale.

Looks like the owner drys his car with a bloody hand towel... It will probably look back to what it was in a couple weeks... Good job though!

    Haha, that's very possible.

I would. After seeing this I'm not so impressed with Ferrari craftmanship. Why is the rear window plastic and not glass? Weight reduction?

Pics look awesome but that is just downright disappointing that there would be overlooked details from the factory in a car of this caliber and price. Plastic wrapping poking out of the trim and the design flaw of the headrests rubbing is not cool.

Welcome to Ferrari build quality! GM has higher standard that some previous ferrari models. It's only unit recently that they have been stepping up the quality control on fit and finish.

But the plastic in the cabin has more to do with the dealership who delivered the car and the initial purchasers preferences
