    Default 2006 Evolution MR SE

I have been back and fourth between a X and a 9 since the first X came to my work in 2008. Things worked out as such that I pursued this 9 we see here from the second owner out of Alabama.

The car has 49xxx miles when it arrived yesterday and is in immaculate shape. The previous owner was a stand up guy, and it shows with the condition of this car.

I plan to lightly modifiy the car and keep it as a well balanced car. The car has a turbo back exhaust and panel air filter, upgraded fuel pump and a mellon racing tune. It also has a AEM boost gauge/controller and A/F ratio gauge as well. It is not quite stock like I wanted at first but, the service history and some other things made me look past that. I am happy I did. It feels good to finally have the car to enjoy after literally spending hours and hours looking for the right car. I sell evo X's for a living, love them, and was quite torn between this 9 MR and the 2013 X in cosmic blue.

Car just got a fresh oil change today. Needs a new clutch as the stock one is on its way out. I plan to shampoo the engine tonight, will update a picture of that later.

New exedy stage 1 HD clutch and flywheel are in. New tires just went on. I do not really daily drive the car so plan to build it slowly over the coming years and just enjoy it for what it is.

Waiting on some charge cooler piping. Just installed a new OEM undertray.

If I could do that again I would have went with an aluminum one piece but oh well.

Car is parked for now hibernating.

Just got some black chargecooler piping and intake from Injen. Looking forward to installing those as the lower pipe has a wicked bottle neck in it.
Will post pics of the install.

    Intake and I/C piping installed.

Looking at some lighter seats I think for spring.

Timing belt will be coming up soon, looking at a few options for that.

The intake really woke up the car as far as how it sounds.

Installed a braided clutch line, really helped out with the clutch pedal pick up aftermarket clutch install. I have been barley driving the car cant wait for all of these rocks to be off the road.

Was looking at a few wheel styles for this summer and may have narrowed it down to a set of Volks I like.

Here are some pictures after the clutch line ready for a little AWD snowy fun.

Swapped out the aluminum shift knob because of how it cold it was for a OEM MR shift knob.

    New Stop tech SS lines
    Hawk pads
    Powerslot slotted rotors
    Motul fluid.

Very happy with the set up, noisy pads and all. I find it amusing and the car stops like few cars I've driven.
