GF never did anything guyish with me, not together anymore.
GF never did anything guyish with me, not together anymore.
any guy stuff that requires a skill (actually playing of sports, not watching, etc) ... it has proven to be a giant failure over the years so i have given up trying to incorporate her
that being said, if i go snowboarding an am staying in the mountains then she will come. during the day she will shop or read a book then at night we'll do something
Really depends on what guy stuff I'm doing, Working on vehicle's she stays in the house, going out shooting she comes along. It works pretty good, becuase I'm a big believer in having time apart

If she's not into 'guy stuff' all that much its all about compromise for now. Some girls who arent into UFC and sports either never have been/dont follow sports or just arent interested. Either way, they likely wont like it overnight. How about having your guy friends invite their gfs (or female friends), then its a social event where she can spend time with you without actually having to focus on the 'guy outing'? If shes not into 'guy things' and its looking like a deal breaker for you, then modify your guy things. My bf likes hunting, not that I dont but had never done it before. His way of entising - pink camo... Eg. shotgun - maybe not so much vs. pink shotgun with my name on it - ok! (fyi dont have one just yet lol )
X2There's only so long you can fake enjoying activities before you lose your mind lol. [/B]
eventually you dont want to 'fake' anymore and things could go to sh**

She has her girls nights and I have my xbox nights (I so wish she'd play video games with me but whatever).

Girlfriends cost money
Turbos cost money

Been married now for 14 years, two kids 8 and 10 years old. We do everything together. My guy stuff which is mostly projects around the house and working in the garage I usually do myself and other free time is spent with the kids. I do hardwood flooring once in a while and she'll help with that as well. Sports we have our friday swim night and saturday badminton which I got her hooked on to and the kids play a bit too. I play sunday by myself cause she's not as into it as I am. We watch tv shows or movies together and I'll wait for the kids to go to bed if I want to watch something not suitable for them.
We do more of my stuff than her stuff I'd say. Usually hang out with my friends and she even played soccer with me for a couple months.
I've got some season tickets to the Stamps with buddies ("man time"). A time to be crass and drunk and not care. One dumbass started bringing his girlfriend whenever we had a spare seat. Then mine wanted to come. Now he DD's her and the chicks want season tickets with us!
My girl friend plays vids all the time and is actually really good.

Thanks for the 14 years of LOLs. Govern yourselves accordingly and avoid uppercut reactions!

It really depends on the relationship.
I believe in "me and we" time. This means that we each have our time for doing things on our own and time for us as a couple.

Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100
Max, how come you don't bring your better half to hockey? Bring her this Saturday. Mine is coming to watch me stumbling all over the ice, after we go to Threatre Calgary at 7:30
I don't have a lot of hobbies I share with the other half. She works till 8 pm every week day except tuesdays so we don't see each other that much except for weekends, but we've been with each other for 10.5 years (had a few breaks in between) so it's not like we need to be glued to the hip. Monday/Thursday/Sunday afternoons I typically spend doing stuff with some guy friends, but the rest of the time I spend with her. While we don't share the same hobbies, we genuinely enjoy each others company and some night just drink a bottle of wine and talk.
I wouldn't want a partner that wants to do everything with me all the time. I enjoy my time to myself quite a bit.

She's already exhibiting signs of turning into my Mom, I need some sort of legal recourse if a full-blown transformation occurs.
I do guy stuff with my guy, that's how we met haha. We met on Mitsunation, and talked more about cars and the scene than anything and it just went from there.. we now work on our Lancers and he helps me with the Pinto Project. I think he's one of the few lucky guys that can buy his wife an orbital polisher and not see the dog house.
I also do more guy stuff on my own, I'm really into sports and fitness and that's something that my guy isn't terribly into.. but that doesn't discourage me from doing stuff like that.
I like things with wheels.
My wife is pretty cool. She'd play video games with me. At some point years ago even raided with me in WoW lol.
She's pretty supportive like that. I picked up fishing last year and she accompanies me every now and then when I hit the bow or whatnot.
I don't really drink anymore but when I hangout with buddies she'd either let me go by myself or come along if she felt like it (or liked the particular set of friends)
