    I've always wondered if anyone was balled enough to own a heli. Bonus points if they land on the rooftop.

    Hmm its prohibited to land on rooftops downtown, actually i believe its prohibited to fly downtown area, where is this helipad?

    There are a few people that own helicopters, and i know couple (not personally) that fly to work, there is one guy that flies his to work in foothills area.

    The helipad is about 25 meters from the south end of the peace bridge.

    Ya just asked some one here at work, that location is been there forever, and that is the only pad that is certified for use in downtown area.

    (I work for a major helicopter leasing/maintenance company here in Calgary)

    There is a guy that flies to Tim Hortons for coffee in Cochrane. I've watching it a few times now.

    That new southpointe Toyota / Scion dealer was also built with a helipad. I was wondering if the owner of Morrison Homes also owns that dealer. Must be nice ...

    1600-2000/hr is about what many light machines go for (eg B206, EC135).

    ^ I'd imagine all these ppl flying to work would more likely own a Robbie of some sort but who knows, some rich ppl here.
