Ikea sells one that has an empty box for every day, and it's in the shape of Santa. So you can make it as religous as you like.
We fill each box with a tiny tree ornament and our little one gets to decorate her own tree.

I've seen them everywhere. Drugstores, grocery stores. I saw some Star Trek Lego ones at the Lego store.

Updating that I picked up a Phillips Snow Case from Willow Park Wine on the weekend. That's 12 pints, so not a 24 pack of regular cans, but also not Parallel-49 Canned Bile Spectacucrap.

They did not have many Phillips left.
