beyond.ca cruise/meet - Sunday Oct 6th, 2002

Hey everyone.

I'd like to invite all the members of this forum out to a nice cruise/meet on Oct 6th 2002. The plan is for everyone to meet up at around 12pm, where we'll take some pics, put some faces to names, and general chit chat. At 1:30pm, we'll start our cruise to a few destinations, a nice sunday drive. We'll end the day with a BBQ at Fish Creek park. Is Oct 6th a good day for everyone? How many people are interested in attending?

Here's what I was thinking for destinations :

12:00pm - Meet @ silvercity country hills for pics, etc.
1:30pm - drive to Deerfoot mall (country hills blvd, short blast down deerfoot, 64th ave, deerfoot mall). From here we can stop for drinks at the food court.
2:30pm - drive to SAIT (64th ave, deerfoot, 16th ave, 10th street, sait). Short break at this point.
3:30pm-4:00pm - Fish Creek Park (10th street, memorial drive, deerfoot trail, anderson road, mcleod trail, fish creek).

Here are the maps and directions for each checkpoint :




Silver City Country Hills to Deerfoot Outlet Mall

1. Start at Silvery city Country Hills
2. Turn Left on COUNTRY HILLS BLVD NE
3. Take the HWY-2 SOUTH ramp towards DEERFOOT TR
4. Merge on HWY-2 SOUTH
5. Take the 64 AVE N exit
6. Turn Left on 64 AVE NE
7. Arrive at Deerfoot Outlet Mall





Deerfoot Outlet Mall to SAIT Lot 1

1. Start at Deerfoot Ourlet Mall
2. Turn left on 64 AVE NE
3. Make a U-Turn on 64 AVE NE
4. Turn Left to take the HWY-2 SOUTH ramp
5. Merge on HWY-2 SOUTH
6. Take the 16 AVE N EAST/16 AVE N WEST/TRANS CANADA HWY/HWY-1 exit
7. Turn Right on 16 AVE NE
8. Continue on 16 AVE NW
9. Turn Left on 10 ST NW
10. Turn Right on Sait Way NW
11. Arrive at SAIT Lot 1




SAIT Lot 1 to Fish Creek Park

1. Start at SAIT Lot 1
2. Turn Right on 10 ST NW
3. Turn Right on 16 AVE NW
4. Continue on 16 AVE NE
5. Take the HWY-2 SOUTH ramp towards DEERFOOT TR/FORT MACLEOD
6. Merge on HWY-2 SOUTH
7. Continue towards HWY-2 SOUTH/BOW BOTTOM TRAIL
8. Continue on BOW BOTTOM TRL SE
9. Turn Right on CANYON MEADOWS DR SE
10. Continue on CANYON MEADOWS DR SW
11. Turn Left on RAMP
12. Continue on MACLEOD TRL SE
13. Continue on a local road
14. Turn Right on BANNISTER RD SW
15. Continue on BANNISTER RD SE
16. Turn left into Fish Creek Park

That's what I was thinking as well. I'll try to pressure WBB6 to hurry up on those decals...if only he answered his phone once in a while
