Just a wee bit of a stretch here, no?
    Will fuck off, again.

    Complex, yes.

    Facilitated by guns? Yes.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, a shame to live in such a effed up world.

There's like 220 million guns in the US, theres a lot less up here and its still not that hard to buy them - without permits, or anything.

because amuurica... does it matter? there is always more than one solution to every problem, there will always be crazy people, the higher your population the more crazy people you will see. at the end of the day HOW the acts are carried out are due to media. everything anyone does is manipulated by their environment

it just shifts the problem, creates a larger black market, etc, etc. fact is the gun has been invented. its a pretty damn simple tool. anyone could recreate it with a machine shop. look at "the war on drugs" did that stop people from being addicted to drugs? no. some obtained them illegally. others shifted to different "tools" to escape reality

crazy people are crazy thats the simple fact of it. finding these people and getting them the help they need early in life is the key. but no one wants to hear that their precious little johnny is a nut job... so overlooking crazy people will continue to happen

You'll have about as much success banning guns as Prohibition and The War on Drugs did for alcohol and illegal narcotics. You'll all but guarantee the only people with guns will be exactly the ones you don't want having them.

I'm all for tighter controls, qualifications and licensing for acquiring firearms.......and automobiles. I think it's too easy to get both. But as a driver without a single infraction for over 21 years, and a non-murderous firearms owner that uses guns for sport, that's as far as I'm willing to let a few insane individuals tread on my privileges.

This video is pretty true. There's been nonstop coverage since the morning, just like the shooting in Oregon mall a few days ago....

    ugh RIP. So sad.

And seriously? People still think gun control will not reduce such events? how blind do you have to be to not see a connection? Pulling a trigger is about the simplest way to kill someone. A child can do it.

You have obviously not been shooting very often.
To hit a target with a pistol while moving and while your target is moving from any distance beyond 10m is extremely difficult, especially when your blood is flowing at a very fast rate.

I've always argued that any of these school shooters could have a body count twice as high with 1. pile of tear gas canisters 2. a large knife 3. good quality gas mask.

The very first gunshot is a warning and can alert anyone nearby, not quite the same with a knife.

A bomb would also be a very easy way to kill a pile of people, just ask a few afgans how easy it is to cook up a bomb in your shed.

A gun is essentially just a tiny device made to have a small explosion take place and concentrate the blast and provide a clear path for the explosion to travel through.

"Anarchism is not a romantic fable but the hardheaded realization, based on five thousand years of experience, that we cannot entrust the management of our lives to kings, priests, politicians, generals, and county commissioners."
