Yeah, I wanted a travel camera with OVF and AF, the X100 fit the bill perfectly. M9 is still out of my range lol.
Tested the RX1 at TCS too as well, pretty darn good and fast but the lens is big compared to the body and no built-in OVF.
Hopefully once your new M comes, you'll get your color fix.
Hey, I still have the NEX-M adapter that came with your CV and NEX5 if you want it.
I was excited about the RX-1, but the lack of a built in viewfinder killed it for me. If I was going with a full system I probably would have done the XE-1, since Fuji has the most interesting selection of mirrorless glass (m43's aside). But looking at it from just a Leica point of view the Sony made more sense.
Hope the X100 works out for you!
You can hand onto that adapter, I have one of the Hawk's factory helicoil ones that lets you drop the MFT down from 0.7 to about 0.3m.

sure did, loving the X100 so depending on the price of the new X100s, I might upgrade to it.Originally posted by kvg
Did you hear about the new x100s earl?
if it's over $1200 which I'm sure it will be, then I'll wait until 2014 lol.
lots of great stuff about it though
· 16.3 megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS II sensor
· EXR Processor II
· High Definition Hybrid Viewfinder (OVF / EVF)
· FUJINON 23mm f/2 lens
· Intelligent Hybrid AF (with the world’s fastest AF speed of 0.08 secs (*1))
· Start-up time of 0.5 secs (*4)
· Shutter time lag of 0.01 secs
· Shooting interval of 0.5 secs
· High-contrast and wide viewing-angle 2.8-inch Premium Clear LCD (460K dots)
· Super Intelligent Flash
· Burst shooting rate of up to 6 frames per second at full resolution (max. 29 frames)
· Focus Peak Highlight function
· Digital Split Image display
can't wait to read more about the Hybrid AF, Digital Split Image.
The Focus Peak, hopefully they release a FW update on the current X100 and X series.
One thing for sure I can't wait to upgrade over the X100 is the slow SD write speed
I loved the photos that came out of my x100, but it was painfully slow and the af was terrible. I see myself buying one used if they did indeed fix all those problems.Originally posted by taemo
