I love the daily demonstrations that prove we have nothing resembling the rule of law in our country.

I think the climate today is just right to start my protests to get reparations for chinese people for building the railroads in Canada. If it wasn't for us, the oil wouldn't move.

You're going to have to do a fair bit of digging to find intentionally racist posts from me, you applied that interpretation not I.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I was referring to protesters in general and, climate ones specifically. Although you're absolutely right about Unifor in Regina/Sk, fuck them too.
EDIT - To be fair, I do see how you could draw the inference with my wording given this topic is often teeming with racist undertones. I don't care what race climate protesters in this Country are, they shouldn't be exempt from punishment and they shouldn't be protected from the general public whom they piss off.

What crime was he committing in the first place? Disturb the peace?
Apparently obstructing the police doing nothing is a crime, but obstructing a public highway isn’t.
This country is broken.

The elected cheifs and nation support the pipeline. The Hereditary chiefs don't.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show QuoteDefinitely wasnt calling you racist if that's how you interpreted my post. My bad. It seemed your one post was directed at the first nations protestors being able to break the law because their first nations. Its unfortunate in this case race will become a factor but overall the police lack the balls with any protest to uphold the law. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
They need to start locking up all the protestors and union thugs that are doing anything illegal. Until there are repercussions the only ones who suffer are businesses.
I read cn rail will be shutting entire rail networks down due to the protests. Perhaps that's the wake up call for the rcmp and police to step in.
I'd be curious to hear from phil or rat on why protestors get so much room to do as they please.
It wasnt about blocking the police, the RCMP might have originally charged him with disturbing the peace and then he refused to stop or give his name - which might have resulted in this charge. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The RCMP do have their hands tied in political horseshit - so the anti protesters were right when they said that the situation is a LOT more complicated for the RCMP.
This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show QuoteTruth. There's more to this though, the real protest going on is on the actual unceded land that the feds and Coast don't have legal access to. And that's what started all this... it's grown into a general protest about how indigenous are treated not only by regular people but by our own government. I get why they're doing this... most people in this country still have no clue what or country has put them through... we just point and laugh at them for their addiction problems. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. The hereditary chiefs actually offered an alternative route around their land... but CGL refused, why? Cuts into their bottom line...
Im all for oil and gas, just don't be greedy and heartless about it.
Getting approval from elected chiefs mean absolute shit. If you think our gov and elections are bullshit, how do think theirs are? The chiefs literally hand out money only to their friends and family... and when Harper wanted these reserves audited, these fucking elected chiefs cried racism.

Edit: I also fully realize that a lot of these protestors are indeed paid by anti pipeline orgs but there's still indigenous with imo completely legitimate reasons

The legal situation is complex out there. Because there is no treaty, ther's no formal recogniation of who speaks for that group. Out here, there's a formal recognition that elected cheifs speak for the nation. Out there, who knows? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
