Some white beaurocrate decided to tell bc what's offensive for first nations people. Its easy to see where that went wrong.

Saw some posts showing BC govt websites still using the term British Columbian after that non sense came out. They don't follow their own advice.

Well, now that we've solved the Fentanyl Crisis and secured the supply of potable water for all, what else is left to deal with?
It's only natural that these issues move to the forefront.

I think more activists should set themselves on fire like that guy did for Palestine this week.

Is that why he did that? At least he's setting a good example.

That's because the article is trying to inflame.. It specifically states that its a from a "guide for B.C. government workers drafting “Indigenous content.” It never once says that BC-ers shouldn't refer to themselves that way.

.. Why would a government website title be changed, if its not specifically being drafted as indigenous content?

There was a truck in Fernie emblazoned with big free Palestine decals last week, I told him I'd take 2.

A document that is specifically on how to draft content for Indigenous folks, and giving advice on how to not inadvertently offend those that you're building content for, seems like a logical place for such things.

"Journalists" are almost a bigger evil in this country than politicians.

Editorial pieces, particularly using True North as a source, are hilarious to be linked..

If Canada is not already the laughing stock of the world, we (those experiencing Canadian residency) certainly deserve to be.

Guy that killed 2 metis hunters in cold blood is granted release from jail a few days a month so he can hang out with family and go to church.

Parole board says they see he's semi remorseful altho he hasn't accepted full accountability for his actions. With that they said he deserves to get out of jail periodically.

The killer is still appealing his conviction. Guess that has no bearing on the parole boards decisions.

At trial, Bilodeau and his son Joseph — just 16 at the time — said they worried the occupants of the truck were thieves. They chased the vehicle in Roger Bilodeau’s truck, reaching speeds of 152 km/h. Roger Bilodeau called his older son Anthony Bilodeau and told him to bring a gun.

The chase ended at a crossroad when Roger Bilodeau boxed in Sansom’s vehicle. Anthony Bilodeau arrived and within seconds shot Sansom and Cardinal, leaving their bodies on the roadway.

Anthony Bilodeau later destroyed the rifle and altered the appearance of his truck, which was caught on security footage on a nearby oil and gas facility. Both father and son lied about their involvement in the shooting.

Personally I think European government should follow Canadas lead on farmer protests.

Anyone who gets the priveledge of owning farmland gets one generation of carbon fuel subsidies to get themselves started, second generation gets none, and third generation has to start *paying* an increasing tax for every drop of fuel and fertilizer they use.

I call it the "nobody gets a free ride as a farmer for multiple generations" rule. The idea of multi-generational rule is like saying that Hong Kong should have been a British colony for 800 years instead of 99. Of which I personally thought 42 years would have been a better number. All things must end.

New class action being proposed for the kids that had parents in residential schools. Add that to the very long list of soon to be successful lawsuits.
