Default need help buying an El Cheapo watch

    Max price is $300ish.

For higher end stuff I already have a couple of Tissost's, a Breightling and an Omega.

Lower end I have 2 G shocks and an Expedition.

Been out of the game for some time and not sure whats out there.

    What would you gurus recommend?

Just go to somewhere that sells watches and pick out something you like. Why do you need the internet to hold your hand buying an "el cheapo" watch?

You can find Citizen ecodrives under 300. Not having to replace batteries every few years is right on in my books.

    Under $300 try Fossil, Diesel?

Costco has a few Movado and Tissot for under $300 as well.

Some Hugo Boss pieces can be had for around that range. Other options can be Armani and D&G. If you go the online route you can probably get a better deal.

Lots of nice designer watches in that range at believe it or not Costco. (NW Beacon Hill specifically. Armani, Dolce for example)

A Ferrari is a high maintenance chick, you spend money regardless of what you do with her. You can baby the C63, or slap on all seasons, and you won't be spending anything but yearly maintenance. Of course that's like dating a stripper and refusing to fuck her, which would make you gay.

Last one I bought was from the Bay, during their "Bay Days" so I saved around 30% or some shit. They had a pretty solid selection including models with Saphire, which other places didn't have in stock.

Beyond does have a resident jewelry store sponsor (http://www.gembycarati.com) so check him out as well.

Otherwise, Citizen's are carried by just about every jewelry store at the mall, so go to each one and see what they have and what they're willing to give you.

Try Fossil. I have a full mechanical skeleton (automatic) movement on this one I got for under $300. It gets a shit load of attention, everybody just loves it. Very nice watch for the money.

They have a lot of other great watches too in the $350 or less price range.
    Same with Starck watches.

Check out www.watchismo.com I think thats the site. Great place to find lots of great watches at decent prices, same with Ebay.

^ A lot of Timex watches use Epson movements (yes, Epson, the printer company), which is owned by Seiko. I have one of their (non-mechanical) movement watches. Its not bad at all, I paid $100 for it eons ago. Its not too shabby for $100. It also sparks a lot of conversation.

If you're bold enough to buy online, you can find a tissot PRC200 for your price range. Lots of ecodrives, which I think are amazing watches for the money.

Check the victorinox line, entry level Hamiltons or maybe even a TW Steel if you like big watches. As mentioned, you can get a lot of auto seikos too.
