Sim City.... Is Back!

The original Simcity was one of the very first games I had on my old XT computer back in the day. I tried updated versions, but there was never anything like the original.

This looks pretty good though....

I guess it's because your city is actually neighbors to other players cities, and they interact/effect eachother.

Still, an off-line mode would be nice.

Sim City 2000 on PC & Sim City on SNES was amazing. Those games probably consumed most of my youth... until Diablo 2 and Chrono Trigger

I think my problem was that I didn't have the patience to learn any of the newer versions, and they were more complex than the original.

I just spent some time on Youtube looking at this new Simcity and man - it looks quite spectacular.

I've always enjoyed those old Sim games. Sim Tower and Sim Ant were a couple of my favorites. Never got to try Sim Life though.

I checked on greenmangaming, and if you use the code "GMG25-XTYYZ-POSL1" you get 25% off, they only have the deluxe edition though, so $45 after discount which is not bad fo rthose wanting to preorder

Code should also work on other pre-orders such as Omerta, Tomb Raider, Metro, South Park etc, I think it is only one per purchase though so you have to do them separately.

I tried playing SimEarth on SNES once. Was way too young to figure out how shit worked (like needing volcanic eruptions) so I just sat there with Waterworld until I gave up.

Haha for some reason I have this weird memory of having terrifying nightmares after playing Sim Earth... I dont know if it was a god complex or what, but all I dreamed about was volcanos going off all over the world and mass floods

I believe it is pay now and you get a key closer to launch to activate in origin. Also if the price drops, say it is 10% off or something and they have a stackable 25% off code, they will credit you the difference onto your account.

Anyone remember Populous? It was release the same year as SimCity. Fuck I loved that game as a kid (for my sweet Atari ST, lol), especially when it got to Armageddon mode, lol.
