It's really not hard at all. If you have a level, a drill and a ratchet set you can do it yourself in no time. I've mounted 2 with no issues.
It is extremely easy and takes 20-30 minutes if you have basic tools. I wouldn't pay anyone to do it if you can avoid it.
my dad will do it for you for 45 an hour and it'll be perfect.
Can your dad mount 61" TV's???Originally posted by InRich

^ yea he did my 60... but he'll need your help just to put it up. he also did all my art in my house, my monitors are on the wall, also he can hook up all your stereo wires and cabling in the walls so no one see. nothing worse then having wires running everywhere.
How long did he take to mount your 60Originally posted by InRich

this is one of those cowboy up times...man up and DIY
I actually had someone else come and do it. A little bit pricier, but it was worth it. Very professional, he does wiring, tv/home theatre installs for a living. Would definitely recommend him.Originally posted by austic

I need one mounted as well with the wiring hidden as it is on a feature wall. Pm'd nagaroo!
Heads up for those of you mounting TV's, consider getting some of those 90 degree HDMI connectors for your cables. If you have a slim-mount, you may find the cables and the wall try to take up the same space, and that can lead to a lot of headaches. I snapped the connectors off two in-wall HDMI cables without much difficulty. Took me months to come up with a decent solution after that.

Bump. Any good recommendations in 2020 for mounting a TV and a tidy job hiding the wires?
Why did you post that?

Tv mounting tech hasn't changed. Tape measure, level, stud finder, pencil, impact wrench. Or hire InRich's dad if SKR hasn't stabbed him yet. There are wireless HDMI units but the reviews aren't great and they are pricey.
