Can I get a price check on the 500? Also do you only need the Power Magic Pro if you plan to leave the camera on when your car is off/parked? Or what's the purpose of it I guess? Dash cam noob here.

Edit: Never mind, I just read the battery discharge prevention page on Dashcamtalk.com. Does anyone have experience with Power Magic Pro? Is it pretty noticeable in the car post installation or can you tuck it away in some random compartment. Again... Dash cam noob here.

I personally did not need one, because i have a cigarette plug inside my center console, i just drilled a small hole in the side of my console to fit the adapter through, plugged in the adapter, and ran the wire, the plugs stay on all the time unless the battery voltage drops below whatever voltage threshold fords have. Mine stays on all night no issues.

2012 F150, Newer vehicles may already have some sort of voltage threshold, but i cannot be sure of that.

How long is the wire? Does it just drop straight down or can it run along the edge of window?

I Had Enough wire length to run it up across my windshield, down the a-pillar and along my door Sill all the way back, under my carpet and into my center console, This being in an Extended cab truck, i can only assume in a smaller car you would have a fair amount of leftover. i had about 6"roughly of cable that i could have extended more.
