I got roped into playing blue devil on saturday with some friends. What a fucking joke. $101 is the late time "discount" we teed off at 420. Still no practice green/range/club house.
Marshall was a prick, constantly telling us to hurry up, hurry up. We ran 2h 13minutes on the front and on the back 2h 2minutes and he rode our ass pretty much until the 15th hole. Still no ball cleaners or club cleaners, the GPS app was most definitely not working properly.
6th hole he was sitting there telling me to hurry up and shoot, I kindly pointed out the fact that people were still on the green putting. "Don't worry kiddo, with this wind you ain't touching that green from the blues". So I waited another minute for them to put and smashed it off the right side of the green and it took a crappy bounce into the right bunker. I shot him a good look. Figured flipping the bird or telling him to fuck himself might get us kicked off so I refrained...
Soooooo basically I'm never golfing here again, I didn't want to on Saturday but next time i'll refuse friends convincing me.
Dad got a membership at elbow last week, so we golfed on sunday for fathers day. Some of the greens have nasty winter burn which is unfortunate. It was tricky on a few holes. But overall I have always loved this course.
Monday did a 530 tee time at sirocco. Course is in excellent condition this year, always one of my favorites (minus the tons of mosquitos). I felt bad for the marshall/ and Tim (GM?). Some behavior I have almost never seen on a golf course occurred with a dbag in the group two ahead of us, that involved a few others (approached us in a threatening manner) but mainly with the group directly in front of us. Resulted in a compensation from Tim, who was awesome about the situation. So I'll be back soon.
These are my first rounds of the year. So far I shot 96 at blue devil, 98 at elbow then 92 at sirocco. Figured not bad considering between a thumb tear 4 weeks ago and coming off septum surgery june 6th I did alright. I don't know what happened this off season but I am puring my 5 iron 220-225 dead straight every hit. In love with it.
Sorry for long post. Finish off with a question.
Me and some buddies hoping to golf this saturday. Try something bit different and I know we are later on booking. Thinking maybe kananaskis, spring break or delacour.... does anyone else have some good suggestions that should be open for booking? Nothing over $100/round preferably.
Thanks
