I ran scripts while at work as someone had brought it to my attention earlier in this thread. Seems like they usually get stock at around 1-2pm, but make sure u are signed in to either bb or fs and quickly check out otherwise u will miss out if someone from rfd is on the ball. I set my script to run 10 secs and to notify me via sound. In the end I missed out as they only add 1-3 ps4s during that time.

Someone on rfd mentioned to follow bb canada on Twitter and that's exactly what I did. I randomly checked their 'new tweet' 8 min after it was posted and read that they added a bunch of ps4s. I managed to get one, but have not received my confirmation nor can I log into my acct for some reason. Checking the CC acct is useless as it's the weekend and won't be in there until Monday/Tuesday. Guess I will find out eventually.

Friend sold his on kijiji today for $520, so it seems despite the fact that they aren't impossible to find, people still pay a premium for whatever reason. There isn't a single game on the PS4 that is a must have, not sure what people are planning on playing once they actually get the console, this applies to the xbox one as well.

i called around all morning with no luck. i just happen to be at southcentre earlier, so i said "what the heck.." and asked, anyway. i can see some people paying a premium for it if their kids really want a ps4 for christmas and they don't have time to drive around to find one.

And BF4 to some extent also. Many people do not have pcs that can run these.

I'm enjoying what I have though, nothing stellar but its a long term investment.

You situation is exactly why I think some people pay over MSRP for the PS4 or the Xbox One, if you don't live in the big city (I am assuming here) then you are not going to drive to a big city for a small chance of finding a console, but you can arrange with someone on kijiji, pay a bit more and guarantee a console, that's assuming you really want one that badly and can't wait until it is readily available. Guy who bought my friend's PS4 said he came from 2 hours away!

I would not be trying to buy one right now... If you missed the boat on launch I'd hold off until January when there will be stock every where.

Other than Calgary, I live in Edmonton. Not exactly a small city. The only reason I mentioned that I will be in Calgary was because I am coming for holidays and will have tons of time to waste on shopping.

That being said I refuse to pay anything over the actual price simply because I hate scalpers.
